Coming to the end of November and we are rock bottom of League 2.

The league table doesn’t lie. The worst team in the football league.

13 points from 17 games, -15 goal difference. And some people think we’ll be too good to go down

At least we’re looking much better now than we were when a certain shit goalkeeper kept on starting.

Breeze coming in seems to have given the defence more confidence than that useless waste of a wage Lewis ever did.

There’s more hope now than before.

There has definitely been an improvement over the last 3 games. No doubting that. But it was from a really low floor to be fair.

Just think it might not be enough looking at our fixtures over the next pivotal month. Crewe, Newport, chesterfield, Port Vale. Really need wins from these games to keep in touch with the teams above, otherwise the gap may be too big come January like last season. But realistically can you see many if any wins coming from these games? Probably not. Maybe Newport but that’s never an easy game for us regardless.

My big fear is like last season we’re pinning our hopes on January while not shifting our arses out of trouble before then. Then when january comes the damage is pretty much irreparable. We’ve fucked up too often in the easier games and left ourselves needing wins from the tougher games.

I think we’ll go down sadly.

Well we’ll just have to wait and see but I am more hopeful of our chances of staying up after these last few games and with January not far away I have more faith in Williamson and the new sporting director to bring in the right kind of players than what Simpson and Abbot signed by wasting money on Lewis, Armstrong, Vela and giving Kelly and Wyke ridiculous contracts.

Has Williamson won you over then? As you were an advocate for getting more of a fire fighter in like Pete Wild rather than someone who will change the whole footballing philosophy.

He’s mixing things up a bit more now tactically and as I said before, dropping Lewis was the correct thing to do and proved to be a significant change to the confidence of the team as there is more of a fight about them now since that Wigan match.

I’m willing to give Williamson more of a chance after recent improvements. I think a sporting director finally coming in looks to have helped too.

It was mixed up at Salford, but last week at Bromley and yesterday i thought we were definitely trying to play a lot when we had the ball. The players seem to be adapting to it now, making decisions quicker and more subconsciously. Breeze over Lewis is making a positive difference.

Still think the lack of quality in certain positions is an issue that may well cost us.

If we can keep up this solid unbeaten kind of form where we’re grinding out results it should be enough to pull us away from the bottom two because I really can’t see Swindon and Morecambe improving in January. Plus there’s always the chance of other clubs getting dragged into it, just look at how poor Bromley were and I wouldn’t bet against Barrow dropping like a rock down to where we are.

There are others who I think may get dragged into the battle too, even if some of them seem clear of danger for now:

Bromley, Colchester, Accrington, Harrogate, Newport, Salford, Barrow.

Also, Tranmere have only scored 10 in their 15 games thus far. They're averaging fewer goals per game than we are. Think they'll pull away though. Fleetwood are stuttering but I don't think they'll fall much further than they have already.

With our resources it would be absolutely ridiculous if we went down. I think our team just needed confidence, belief and a bit more of a clear game plan to stop that awful run we were on of losing nearly every match and showing no fight.

So looks like we’ve finally turned it around.

Williamson will know more now about the players than when he first came.

Every time I’ve watched Accrington this season they’ve looked half decent. I’d be surprised if they end up down.

As for us, it’s a big month ahead. If we can stay in touch with the pack above, then we may have a chance of staying up if we get January right.

BIG fucking if though as our previous 3 transfer windows have been a disgrace. Hopefully the new SD will bring different outcomes, but I’m not holding my breath. We need to strengthen in so many areas. It stinks of last season.

At the moment we’re going down. We are the worst team in the football league and are deservedly bottom. We’ve been saying all season we can get out of it, yet here we are still in the same position. Too many gaping holes in our team/squad and drop offs in quality. If we aren’t too far adrift come middle of Jan, then we’ll have a chance with a good window. But at the moment it’s all pointing one way.

We’re not going down because we’re just too good to go down and making the play offs is still a realistic possibility.

If you genuinely believe that… Can you explain why we are bottom of the football league, if we’re that good?

We are bottom because of everything that happened before, but things are now taking a positive turn and the future’s bright.

Every single team in the football league is in their current league position because of everything that happened before now. That’s stating the absolute obvious.

17 games in we are bottom with one of the worst starts to a season in our history. The league table doesn’t lie, we are the worst team in the football league. And now suddenly after a win and a couple of draws you’re talking about playoffs. Its pure fantasy land.

Carver - The gift that keeps on giving.
Why would we be? And by the way you are struggling without Harry Lewis now not just for his goalkeeping skills but his character too.

Well we signed Luke Armstrong AND YOU DIDN'T!

And from what we have seen of him since he came here is he's shown that he's the best player outside of the Championship.

We're live on Skysports at Derby 12.30 kick off today and you can expect to see what supreme quality we'll bring to L2 next season .
So look out for our exceptional goalkeeper Lewis who Bradford still lose sleep over losing to us, a rock solid defence and a blistering attack led by the serious goal threat that is Luke Armstrong who Wrexham still can only think, what if?

I'm sure some players such as Armstrong, Lewis and possibly a couple of others will up their game with new better players and characters around them like Aaron Hayden etc.

you stupidly released your best defender on a free who we then signed and also missed out on Armstrong to us who is a proper marquee signing,

We ended up paying something between 200 - 250k for him.

He's been good though, I like Armstrong. Just hasn't been getting enough service but hopefully that will change now that we have Jordan Jones.
