How many mo dons players have as such fallen out of favour at mo dons since the managerial change who were favoured last season??

I’d surely expected them to be possible targets for January.

I’ve seen some awful teams in my time supporting Carlisle, but this current shower of shit has to be the worst.

Cost a fortune, over paid, hyped up in August, constantly injured, 15 points by Christmas. Bottom of the football league, set to break club records for all the wrong reasons.

Anyone who thinks this team is staying up is living in cloud cuckoo land.

Disgraceful team, disgrace to the club, disgrace to the city.

With the gap now 4 points, we have to win these next 2 home games. If we can’t then we might as well forget about staying up.

Lose them both and we’re 100% down.

Do I trust this team to win the big games? Not one bit.

The two teams around us which are both must wins and if we don’t then we’ll need a miracle in January really.

I think this team just irritates me more so than others because it’s fairly well known that it cost a lot to put together and players are being paid well. Everything is in place for the club to move forward but these sorry excuse for footballers are fucking it all up.

Big week ahead which will go a long way to seeing whether we’ll be alreet.

I wouldn’t trust this lot to beat an egg.

Sometimes spending just doesn’t work, especially restless panic spending and we have to be wary in January to still buy the right players than just buy any player.

The problem for us compared to say morecambe for the second half of season is we don’t and won’t get the togetherness we have players who should be doing better on vastly more money than they deserve mostly going through the motions.

Mirecambe have a poor side, had next to no spending but I can see them improving second half of season they will at least battle and scrap, they just remind me of us in 2001 with Atkins, atrocious first half of season full of issues due to ownership issues and manager unable to do anything but accept dregs of football.

It took time but by feb/march it was grinding out results, still see myself morecambe doing this so personally feel we have to find 2 sides to catch.

I agree which is one of the many reasons I think we’re going down.

Morecambe may not have the resources but what they do have is a manager cut out for a battle, who will get his players working hard and scrapping for their lives. It’ll give them a chance.

Swindon have goals in their team. They’ll get some hammerings but they’ll have enough days where they hit 3 or 4 goals and take points. Likewise Accrington, enough goals.

Harrogate won’t go down. Weaver will get enough results out of them. Too many teams have Harrogate as their bogey team.

For me us and Tranmere to go down.. Both utterly toothless. We’re obviously worse of the two overall given we’re on 6 points less , so they’ll have more of a chance, especially if/when they change the manager. But if I was betting now...

So really we need to win our next two matches and they are both at home where we have only won twice all fucking year in all competitions. That is an absolutely dreadful record! Surely no team has had such a bad home record than us in the history of English professional football.

And of course we haven’t won two league games in a row since something like March 2023. So we’re hoping for a miracle at home against the mighty Morecambe and Accrington Stanley.

Our manager will not want us to fight to survive but will just be more interested in us having more meaningless possession stats than Morecambe.

My god this team is truly awful. The worst I’ve ever seen.

If any fans were still in denial that we’re going down, today has surely been a reality check. Need to start getting your heads round how serious it is.

So this entire set of players really needs changed but some would also say the entire couching staff need changed.

we will chuck money at it January but which one of them do we go with sack or back??

My worry with williamson is it sounds on radio so toxic, but he’s managing a bunch of overpaid lazy uninterested wasters…….i don’t know which is best.

Was absolute f*cking idiotic to decide this season to try a ‘long term project’

I’m really interested to know what the hell some of our fans are seeing to come to the conclusion that things are going to be ok.

If ok is being a non league club then yeah great. We are 100% down.

The worst team I’ve ever seen.

The question is who do they get next

Cannot stand the guy but it’s someone like a Steve Evan’s we currently need he’s going to be available soon or we can give another club a nice payday for a manager on way out!

I don’t think it matters who we get, for this season anyway.

This team is 100% going down regardless.

All this talk of go back to basic direct football and all will be well… what the fuck do you think we were doing for the past year under Simpson?

These players are shit whoever the manager is, whatever the tactics are. A few squad changes next month wont be enough to repair it. The worst team I have ever seen.

I thought early on you'd have time to get it together but I've been watching from a distance with some interest ( my old man's a Carlisle fan) and at no point over a six game span have you ever really gained on the teams around you and now you're further adrift after a pretty terrible result today.
You need a good window I think, just to bring in players who can lift the mood as much as anything.

Carlisle look like a team desperately waiting for the transfer window. Looks bleak now but just extrapolating out the current PPG over the season it looks like would be 41 points as the safety mark. That should not be beyond the wit of Carlisle IF they get the window right.

Mike Williamson has still got my support, for one reason.
He inherited this squad, it's a squad of injury ravaged players and players that aren't good enough to step up when required ( Ellis, Armstrong spring to mind).
If, and it's a big if, we can keep in touch with these bottom clubs around us and Williamson does well in the transfer window then there's still cause for optimism.

Harrogate have lost to us now, that's it, they'll collapse now, their game model has been built around beating us twice a year since they progressed from a Tea Shop team...

Fuck the transfer window, the only thing I'm waiting for is more booze.

I really wish I didn’t care. But I do. It is devastating what’s happened to us.

Although I expected morecambe to win today, I did hope I was being overly pessimistic and that i’d be proved wrong. Sadly this team hasn’t proved me wrong on many occasions this season. It’s a disgrace to the city. An embarrassment.

Last seasons relegation from League 1 was annoying in that it felt like the promotion was a wasted opportunity. This season’s relegation out of the football league leaves me feeling 100x worse, devastated, angry, empty. It’s so bad. There’s nothing positive to say about this team. The worst I’ve ever had the misfortune of watching.

We’re in this position thanks to pathetic incompetence which you have to lay at the people who are running the club and that’s ultimately the owners responsibility which they have to take after going for Mike Williamson when there were far better and ideal managers than him who were out of work.

Look I do think Williamson deserves the sack, but it’s not all on him. That’s not the only mistake that has been made. The recruitment over the 2 transfer windows has been an absolute disgrace given the money we’ve spent.

This group of players Simpson and Abbott put together in the summer would leave anyone with a tough job. He definitely should have got a bit more out of them, but the players really are shit.
