Well tomorrow will test your theory.

Tranmere v Carlisle

I personally think there’s a telling reason we’ve been bottom of the league all season.

The reason we've been bottom all season is due to our injury list.
I know every club has them, but we've had 10 - 13 players out for various spells this season.

That's not the reason at all in my opinion. It's a convenient excuse that I'm sure will get rolled out when we do go down, but I'm not having it at all.

The squad hasn't been good enough, injuries or no injuries. Up until the last couple of weeks we'd had pretty much a full squad bar Wyke and Robson, but we still couldn't win a game.

It's a weak team with mentally fragile players and lets be honest, some woeful players in key positions. It's been the case for well over a year now.

I haven’t seen Carlisle play this season. On paper, even without the recent additions you’ve got a better squad than Rovers though both sides are missing important players through injury/illness.

The Morecambe game we had 4 decent chances before they took the lead. No decent finisher at the club, but Harvey Saunders takes this to a new level, yet gets in the side because of a lack of pace or creativity elsewhere.

Off the field the Palioi are basically twiddling their thumbs waiting for a takeover, you have to wonder will happen if we drop out of the FL again. Adkins has been inept in terms of tactics and player development. Substitutions are reactive rather than adaptive and often made far too late. He was given a 3 year contract by Palios last season, poor judgement, as they can’t afford to pay him off and Adkins understandably won’t walk. No funds for significant transfers. I won’t be there today but fear things will turn toxic very quickly if Rovers are losing. Palios to emulate Fenty by taking a side out of the FL twice is a poor legacy for all the hot air when he assumed control of the club a decade ago.

we are bottom because we hardly create any chances, we hardly score any goals and all season make numerous basic errors which most of the time cost goals……you don’t score and you conceded a lot is only one area of the table you are regardless of how strong or weak a squad you have.

Can use injuries as an excuse but I’ve not been able to see them much this season, got to that Rochdale friendly and within that 90 minutes you could see all the masses of issues to come……..people say most of time read nothing into friendlies but we bloody should have……..created nothing left numerous gaps had wing backs who didn’t know whether they were to defend or attack had no midfielders at all attempting to cover defence especially when mellish decides to go AWOL out of position numerous times because he wants to play every position.

That wasn’t down to injuries then we just frankly had the wrong players for the system and it’s never felled since.

We have been statistically the worst team in the football league for about 18 months now.

This idea that some of our fans have that a few January signings is suddenly going to turn us into an half decent team for the next few months is absolute pie in the sky.

We are 100% down.

Need a fucking overhaul of our defence and attack this month

And our manager needs to ditch this pretty football shite and adopt a L2 relegation shithousery battle or fuck off

I think we will persist with this until match then finally remove Williamson and appoint someone like Coleman who while not fantastic will at least play a basic system and round pegs in round holes etc efx

Will improve but too late remind me of frest green when common sense happened too late.

We’d honestly rather be bottom trying to play pretty than scrap our way out of it, totally wrong manager for this situation

Need to sack the manager, it’s not going to work.

Feel sorry for him he’s got a crap set of rubbish players and wants them to play a system not one of them can play.

But if he’s that stubborn and blinkered and stupid to persist week after week after week with it this is only heading for another year of total mess until manager is finally changed next year no point wasting the time for it.

Teams been losing for 18 months what we need now is something basic to steady the ship not complicated systems and styles and thinking we can be Barcelona……..Williamson will never get time now he’s lost the fanbase and they won’t have patiently to let players adapt to it

As far as I’m concerned this team has been down for a while. There’s nothing there.

Today has surprised a lot of people. Not me. I fully expected it.

6/7 points adrift now. I think we’ll be down well before the last few games of the season. The worst team I’ve ever seen.

Time to start looking towards the national league next season.

I’ve said for a while this season is going exactly as last season did.

And that today absolutely stunk of Exeter away last season. Expensive new signings making their debut, a relegation 6 pointer. Don’t turn up, defeated. Rooted to the bottom. Cut adrift.

How can people not see the glaringly obvious?

It isn’t the results at the moment it’s more current performances and set up is where a change in management is needed.

I can accept relegation to non league I did back in 2005 I accepted Simpson losing 12 games in a row, but there was a massive change between the side which started and ended and even during the bad run there at least was battle and togetherness and just needed some quality improvements which when they arrived second half of season we looked a decent team and went down fighting.

This lot is a total mess, months of coaching has improved nothing is no togetherness, no battling, new players are adding nothing and no signs of any improvement across field.

We can get relegated but cannot afford to be relegated in awful form with fans against the manager players not wanting to play system and manager not having a clue what to do about it

From what I know of your manager he's probably not the man for a relegation battle is he? It's nice playing pretty football when it brings results and you have the players for it he's not getting them and he hasn't. I hope you can stay up though always been a decent bunch Carlisle fans over the years I've found

Not pretty from either side today. We set up for a 0-0 at home against the team bottom of the league, and got the bonus of one better. Lots of time for Carlisle, so hope you stay up, providing it's not at our expense, but today was pretty awful. Losing twice to one of the worst Tranmere sides in living memory this season is inexplicable. Both sides urgently need new management (and in our case, the ability to sign some players, but that's not happening).

Plenty of people (including some of our own fans) think we’ll stay up.

I’ve said many times you have to see it to believe how bad we are.

No one is saving this team. We are 100% down. The sooner some of our fans get their heads of clouds and realise this the easier it will be for them.

Must admit I always thought you'd stay up but every time things look like they're turning your way you go and get a horrible result.
Table does look bleak tonight.

In a way I admire Tallow ’s optimism, but surely even his faith in this team and manager is gone after today.

Don’t worry our next game is up at your gaff, we can’t win there regardless of our respective forms.
I guarantee you that you will this time.

We're an absolute joke. I don't even have words for the crap I've just watched.

I chose Crewe away over Tranmere away.

At full time on Wednesday night I was regretting that decision. After watching today on TV, I’m certainly not regretting the decision anymore!

I wish I'd not bothered with either. The finale at Crewe left me numb, today leaves me a rambling, gibbering wreck. I'm well beyond denial at this point - somewhere between anger and despair. Gutless, spineless performance from a group of players I feel very little connection with.

Whelan was a bit of a bright spot for some of the game, and Embleton had a few bits of quality linkup play and some decent balls into the box (of course, there was nobody battling to get on the end of them). Beyond that, what an absolute mockery of a performance. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I may well not bother next Saturday. I need a break from this torture, season ticket or no.

If you fully accept that we’re down like I have, it will feel bad for a while, but once you come to terms with it you’ll feel better. Still not great but better than having false hope and getting gut punched later on. Time is a good healer.

I’m looking at these games hoping to see some signs from players that they can maybe help us next season in the National League. Admittedly I didn’t see anything positive today.

Actually no who am I trying to kid?!!!! It’s fucking devastating either way! Even though I’ve fully accepted our fate. It hurts like hell.

Are we the first ever club in the history of the football league to get new wealthy owners and immediately go backwards and get worse?

I’ve never ever known anything like this.

How bloody typical for us to be heading into the non-league only a little over a year from when we expected to be looking forwards with new owners and spending power after years of rag and bone tinpottedness.

It goes to show what losing culture can be once it sets in. And it doesn’t matter how much is spent if it’s still ingrained then it will continue to be shit.

Every single player and staff member involved in last seasons debacle should have been cleared out in the summer. The only one I won’t include is Guy as he was injured most of last season and actually played well prior to injury. But the rest should have been gone. A complete reset was needed, start again. Drastic but necessary

You should show me a bit more respect mate.
Many moons ago on Football Manager I once took your club Grimsby on a magnificent run of form from the bottom of L2 at Christmas to go on and win the title by the end of the season.
