We're not 100% down you wet weekend.

Says the person who thinks we can still get top 3 :ffs:

We have 21 points from 27 games and there’s zero improvement in our form. We haven’t strung two wins together in almost 2 years.

We are absolutely 100% getting relegated. The sooner you accept it the easier it will be.

Well if we're so down then why don't you go off from here like last season? And don't say you have a hope of us staying up when every week you say we're 100 percent down.

We are not 100% relegated.
Nobody gets relegated in January.
19 games left to play.
Plenty of fight left.
Our performances are improving, compare Fleetwood and Notts away to the Tranmere away shambles.
You never have any fight in your posts Hellogregory, always predicting heavy losses and failure.
We'll stay up, I still maintain it.

Can definitely stay up on last night’s evidence. Better than quite a few teams I’ve seen, though translating that into points can sometimes be a different matter.

Our performances were improving in November. You said it, I agreed, but results weren’t coming and it’s the same now. One win every now and then in the middle of numerous defeats is only going to end one way.

Until results improve, until we prove that we can actually string a few wins together, everything points to us going down. There’s been absolutely nothing to suggest we’ll stay up.

Obviously we’re not mathematically relegated, so we’re technically not 100% down. That’s just a saying I use to say I 100% believe we are going down, which I do.

Exactly. There have been numerous occasions this season where oppo fans have said similar after beating us, particularly teams near the top. Then we’ll play like shit against teams near the bottom and still lose.

Play well or play like shit, we can’t translate any of it into points sadly.

I don’t have hope of us staying up. Until we can prove we can string a few wins together (something we haven’t done in 2 years), there’s no hope.

For what it’s worth, I believe we will improve in time. But by the time these players are moulded into an effective team, it’ll be far too late.

I think we’re going down. There has been no evidence whatsoever to convince me otherwise. Not a shred.

I have no skin the game obviously. Although HGs we are regular and consistent we are 100% down remarks before and after every game is too much too soon.

However putting performances and improvements aside I would agree that until Carlisle win back to back games then the talk has to be all about relegation.

When that happens, if that happens, nobody knows.

And this might be an unpopular view but I don’t think our transfer business has been anywhere near good enough for a team that seriously wants to stay up.

Weve no doubt strengthened the midfield, but a big problem is we’ve lacked goals. We’ve brought in Hugill and Scott who between them have barely scored any football league goals.

We’ve failed to score in 6 of our last 9 games. And if you want to focus on more recently we’ve failed to score in 3 of our last 4.

There have been zero signs of improvement in goals or points. Why the hell would anyone be confident that we can stay up? Why why?

Because we're not as bad as you like to state.
We're miles different since early season.
We're defensively better.
We're harder to beat.
We're more creative.
We've got more energy.
Most importantly, We're massively financed and well ran off the pitch.
You're confident Newport and Tranmere will pull away from us, why why?

I’ve already answered this but I’ll answer it again a bit more…

Because in 27 matches they’ve been better than us and have managed to accumulate more points, more wins and a healthy 5/6 points buffer on us.

Based on this, and the fact we’re showing no sign of improvement in our results, it’s reasonable to expect they’ll pull further away over the remaining 19 games.

I consider H/G a reality poster of the war between him and Carver…..but I never thought I’d side with carvers opinion in any disagreement….carver is 100% wrong with promotion( I know it was tongue in cheek by him) but I agree they climb…H/G resigning to 100% conviction for the last few weeks of relegation I can’t get on board with. Out of the bottom 6 I’d choose to bank my money on Carlisle coming out on top of that league starting from today. deffo going to rise a few places.

Well you’ll see.

I have no faith whatsoever in this squad and manager getting us out of this.

There have been zero improvements in results since Williamson came in. Mostly not his players I know, but majority of these new players arrived at the start of January, yet we’re now going into February and there’s been zero improvements in results.

I do think some of the multiple new players are better than what we had (not difficult) but can’t see them gelling into anything like an effective team in the time required. If we’d put this squad together in August I think we’d have a good chance of staying up, but not in January, when we need to win half of our remaining games. Its too big an ask for a bunch of players chucked together in a toxic losers environment.

We’re going down.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
The next few games will say a lot. I like HG personally think we are gone but my reasons ironically are for the same claptrap Williamson constantly uses…….stats.

Stats show we hardly every score, stats show we hardly if ever keep a clean sheet, stats show we rarely win and also rarely pluck draws when we don’t win.

Them stats don’t suggest a side having to ‘catch up’ to survive is going to actually catch up.

Main thing now is just getting them stats improved before season ends, we score more, we have clean sheets we turn constant defeats into draws or wins.

I’d be very happy if we could do a win, loss, draw ratio from now until end of season, it would mean about 45 points and I’d say relegation but would show turnaround finally happening

You’d think with all the money we’ve been splashing out we’d buy some goal threat, but so far we’ve signed 2 forwards who don’t score many goals at football league level and looks like we’re bringing in another who doesn’t really score many.

As I think we’re down I was of the view that we should save our money for the summer and then rebuild with a complete fresh start. But as we have been spending anyway it’s disappointing that we haven’t invested much of those resources in the goal scoring area. While Hugill has looked decent in terms of pace and work rate, he doesn’t look like he’ll score many despite having plenty of attempts already in 3 games.

4 days to go, maybe we’ll do more business.

Also what has been evident all season from Simpson’s team and now this new team, once we go behind we are done. I’m sure I saw somewhere we’ve picked up 2 points all season from losing positions. That is shocking and another key factor in why we’re where we are and why we’ll be relegated.

I thought Carlisle were further adrift than what they actually are, 5 points is nothing especially once their new players start to gel, they will stay up IMO and by the end of season they will have room to spare too.

You say 5 points is nothing, but it’s a quarter of our entire points total for the season so far.

You said we were going down in the season we got promoted.
