I said a month ago that it’s the worst Carlisle United team I’ve ever seen.

11 new signings later and it’s still the worst I’ve ever seen. There’s a good argument that it’s getting worse. Results certainly are.

Maybe just maybe the head coach is the problem.

He's too bloody soft on 'the boys' and gets no fight or spirit out of them at all.

Everyone laughed at Holloway getting the job at Swindon but look what he's done for them, simple football and a bit of spirit gets results.

It’s a bit like being on death row this.

We know our fate, we know how it’s going to end, but we have the misery of watching it all play out leading to when the inevitable day arrives.

Letting in two goals after having a man sent off in injury time isn’t a good sign .

You’d at least expect to try and see out the game avoiding any more damage ?

What’s the size of the playing squad after so many incomings? Will there be an exodus between now and tomorrow to at least try and balance the numbers?

Squad size is about the same as man united, the plan is putter no 15 of them in wigs and calling it our ladies team.

The more worrying aspect is how many wastes of time are on horrible expensive long term contracts……similar issue I seem to remember Bradford had a couple of seasons back.

But all the players signed have previous history of being ok so if maybe they could find a manager able to install some effort, confidence and form into them we may not need a third clear out.

Quite a few have gone.

9 have gone, 11 have come in.

I’d expect one or two more to go tomorrow and maybe one more in.

At the moment our squad is at 32, plus a few first year pros.

There’ll definitely be some players that will have to be unregistered when we submit our squad of 25 to the EFL.

Let’s be honest HG it is irrelevant at present who goes and who comes in playing wise.

They just need to remove the manage and admit it didn’t work and realise we need a short term stabilizer then in year and a half they can maybe look at a project.

To have done a madcap project with a team with zero morale and a fanbase who has hated the whole thing from minute one has been madness.

We have had 3 entire full squads tried in the last 18 months to stop the rot, what we need now is one of them short term bosses who do very little long term and frankly you do t keep but you have for 12 months to just get things back organised, working hard and basic……something to build on.

Not an easy ask mind most options have gone, I’d feel very sorry for Morecambe here as they 100% deserve to survive more than us and it would finish them off, but thinking Adam’s may be the best managerial appointment for us right now.
