It’s a bit frustrating they’re wanking over Lincoln so much

No mention of 5 home wins in a row, no mentions of a best home record in the league if we win, no mention of how we’ve the best defence in the league

They mentioned the 5 wins as they even put up the results during the first half!

Good game, Mansfield looked far more solid than at our place last week, Lincoln were Lincoln, fairly efficient.

Cowley is Westley Mark II, even down to the tactical injury mid half!

Good game, I think Mansfield would have held out if it wasn’t for Logan. Lincoln finished much stronger though. Good result for us as long as we don’t slip up. My bet came in just about.

Don't get why sky were saying that we need 5 wins, 3 more for promotion if we get 5 we win the league.

Did they mention how much you dicked Tranmere the other week? *ducks for cover*

First half mansfield were worthy of the lead. Hitting us on the break and pressing us in the ball forced so many simple mistakes. Second half thought we were the dominant side probably due to a mixture of mansfield tiring out a bit and sitting back on the lead. Blatant penalty for our goal. Thought we got the ball in to a lot of dangerous areas, but, we struggled to create many decent chances, largely due to mansfield's well organised defence. Very impressed with mansfield's deliveries into the box.

I thought Lincoln played some excellent football at times today. I didn't see signs of the tippy tappy mansfield I expected. In fact they played a lot of long ball, which I can understand today considering your frightening pace against our relatively slow defence. We really need Shackell back in defence for Bolger.

Hopefully! One game closer to promotion.

Pleased with the attendance as well, 7177 is a cracking effort for us on a Monday night well on tv, well done to the Lincoln fans too.

The atmosphere sounded great all game, and that can only be achieved if both sets of fans get behind their players

We've played in some good games against Lincoln in recent years. Always a good battle.

Some proper meaty challenges but it never boiled over and both sets of coaches and management teams both behaved too shaking hands at the end, great to see after some bad feeling in previous games.

Biggest crowd of the season for you guys?

Notts would have been had their away following not been so shit, and there’s no chesterfield to play haha

More than happy for Mansfield to join us in L1 next season, much rather you than MK.

High attendance due to all the imps in the home end.

That seals it, Lincoln are up. Congratulations to them.

No need for their fans to post in the promotion thread anymore.

Decent battle that, two good teams, can see why both are up there. Lincoln would require a collapse of Devon Loch proportions now, think they will do ok in L1 next year too, it doesn’t seem especially strong at the moment.

As for Stags, looking increasingly like a virtual play-off final at Stad MK on May 4!

Ah of course that old trick.

Notts and chesterfield used to say that too lol

And not forgetting Mansfield fans just a month or so ago. The old boys in the Derek Pavis are still shook up by the recent mass invasion of inbreeds into their cosy comfy formerly secure area :err:

But at least the club was warned multiple times on NCM beforehand lol

Didn't see the game as was at a gig so unable to comment on the match.

What has surprised me is that Lincoln are 15 unbeaten since Boxing Day, which is some achievement, in my head they haven't been playing very well, clearly i am confused and/or deluded as 15 game run whilst there to be shot at is impressive.

And boom Akinde Pen pops up again :fish:

Lincoln will go up as worthy champions from now I think, I’m a tad disappointed because I thought we were good enough to challenge them but ultimately I think the difference have been all our draws early in the season but you have to forgive that due to Mansfield having a new manager, style of play and core squad whereas Lincoln have been stable in all them over the past few years.

If we keep that back three fit and service CJ and Walker a bit better I think we have a good chance for automatic.

Good game, happy enough with a point after MK dropped points Saturday. Tranmere coming into contention though. Lincoln were a really good side, looked like champions elect, but Christ almighty are the Cowleys annoying. They make Steve Evans look respectful and calm on the touchline. Never stopped moaning at the 4th official.

Incredible team Tranmere are, unbeatable 11vs11.

I didn’t know they pretend injuries for a team talk, no wonder Lincoln never get the respect the fans think they deserve
Where've you been for the last three years?!

1 loss since October, too.

1 loss since October now and that was Cowleys 250th league point in less than 3 seasons. A near 2 point average over that period is incredible.

Not really sure how the game panned out because I didn't watch it but conceding early wasn't great but we've pulled games back from behind so we were going to be fine unless we conceded a second.

I’ve still got a hard on for the Eardley/Benning tackle towards the end. Don’t usually see them on MNF without some c*** in gloves rolling around after it:

Thought both sides looked good, but Lincoln had that bit more fight that they've shown so much this season in the second half - reminds me of us, we've been so lacklustre in the first half but come back strong in the second half lately.

Seeing Lincoln yesterday just confirms to me they're going up as Champions and deservedly so. Not as dominant as teams in previous years but still a quality side who should hold their own in L1.

Every round of fixtures now on is going to be a case of who blinks first between us and Mansfield, and as a few have said, that last game of the season is going to be a big one for both sides.

Surely Tisdale is destined for 4th place and the subsequent play off defeat?

Keeping fingers crossed for a Imps title

Not strictly true conker on the players who started last night Akinde, Toffolo, Andrade, O'Connor brought in during the summer. O'Hara, Gilks And Rowe came in during the January.
Management team yeah third season with us of course so kinda know what you mean.
The Cowley method is well ingrained.

Totally agree no need for it , nearly every time the camera cut to our dugout Danny was in the ear of the 4th official, no wonder we don't get decisions, just let the officials get on with it however good or bad they are
