I was getting ready to put on some loud blaring punk rock and now that I've come across this thread I want to listen to some blues instead. Not sure if that's a good thing or not!

I like my blues the same way I like my punk - raw and dirty. The rawer the better, and few are rawer than the big bad Wolf IMO.

PS - more importantly, the only way to listen to the blues is on vinyl. What say you Mr HarryH from London?

Hi Giovanni.

Since I really got into old blues (and jazz) at the peak of CD buying, I only have a dozen or so decent blues LPs - all bought back in the 70s. Thanks to a friend, I did manage to clean them and get a decent turntable/ speaker combination . You're right, that's the best way to hear them.

A lot is lost on my hundreds of CDs. Many of them are inferior to the cassettes that me and blues loving mate used to record and swap before the CD rolled into town.
