I have always admired your optimism Chipmunx but we are seriously struggling now. I don't feel any of the players we have brought in over the summer are any improvement on what we already had.
James Jones is.

He's such a prick. Either he's making it up, or some of our directors really hate him! I think the former.

The club also invented some 'intelligence' from Cumbria police that he was going to get a hostile welcome from Barrow fans. Of course, it wasn't even remotely true.

Just feels like he's going for the sympathy vote, but I don't think Bolton fans are that stupid (with some exceptions, obviously).

I dont get your point i really dont.
I do get that the was never ever going to be a welcome party on a wet Tuesday in Barrow under lockdown.
He got you into the promise land its time Barrow and Evatt both moved on.

You could tell Evatt was not handling the pressure even before the season started. Not got his head screwed on.

He has got total belief in his way of playing. The problem he wont change even if it is going wrong.

Yesterday just to play his way he played a right footed centre back at lwb. Obviously does not rate the two left footed w/b he had on the subs bench who he signed.
Our goalkeeper is young and his positioning is shocking yet Evatt plays him because he can play from the back.
He and his staff are on good three year contracts and i think we will have no choice but stick by him.

What's not to get? He's under pressure that he's never had before, and trying to deflect it by inventing abuse and threats.

If you're asking why don't I and other Barrow fans feel too warmly towards him, it's mainly because he tried to jump ship to Fylde but stayed for the cash, then told everyone how he was going to lead us up the table in League 2 while getting his agent to sort out a deal with Bolton. Oh and then he thinks he was run out of town, when the real reason he left was because he (*allegedly but on camera*) got involved with the local cokehead journo.

Just a bit of a pillock, and his behaviour last night did nothing to help his image.

Dont see that pressure FV paid 250k to get there man. Put him and his staff on good three year contracts
The pressure is on our dof Toby Phoenix
Just dont get his team selections substitutions.

Not really interested in his life away from football to be honest.

He is in a very fortunate position that the is no crowds in, because if ten Barrow staff got to him wait until he meets the empty heads that follow our club

That's exactly the reason he's under pressure.
No clue to what he is on, but Him, Atherton and Gilks will be on north of £750k for the three year contracts combined
Dont see him going any time soon

I think Notlob will be safe; Sarfend and the Scunts look like they both want to go down. So the trotters will have to really make a pig's ear of it if they wish to challenge for a relegation slot (see what I did there?).

Bit early to be laughing, lads. Best squad in the league. Best ground. Best fans. Best hotel. Only a matter of time before they win the league.

Evatt sounds a great man manager based on today’s interview dressing down his own 20 year old keeper. Do wonders for his confidence that!

Dont worry Bolton fans, you are guaranteed your first home victory on Tuesday playing against the worst Bradford City team in living memory. We are truly awful this season.

Those Bolton players must have been in awe of Brisbane Road, I bet they had selfies on the pitch with their entire extended families before kick off.

It’s understandable really, considering where Bolton’s players have come from.

Always a pleasure for any player to perform in a proper ground, rather than an identikit bowl in some nondescript retail park in Manchester.

Have some decorum man, I’ve just done a bit of sick (on my own face) thinking about a soulless bowl in greater Manchester.

I think you are all being a little unkind to Notlob and their one fan who comes on here. I doubt they'll go down.

Notts County only went down because they appointed Harry Kewell.

I wonder if someone else has made that mistake?

Just joking Oldham fans.
