Chelsea also played 60 minutes of great game yesterday. It is a difficult time but they will overcome it

I think liverpool will remain out of the top 4 because in my opinion spurs are superior

Liverpool since losing to Spurs in October in PL 19 Games 13W 5D 1L. Scored 51(more than City) and conceded just 16(Only Chelsea and United conceded less). Our defence is not shit anymore and we are not inconsistent.

Off the back of those numbers it'd take proper raisins to not at least be confident.

I said around Christmas I thought second was on for us and you scoffed the suggestion if I recall. Been pretty confident for most of the season we'd get top four, but there had to be that small doubt with the way we used to shoot ourselves in the foot and get beat by the lesser teams so that we'd start panicking about missing out. However as the season has went on we've managed it superbly and with Chelsea's issues with Conte and all not being well there, I think the top four will stay as it is - with us in second.

So, thanks to Conte and his shite tactics against City, we now have a 7 point cushion between us and 5th. I'll be mightily pissed if we miss out on a top 4 spot and I hope we keep up the challenge for 2nd.

You are always bullish about Liverpool! I was referring to my comments about Chelsea "exploding" and being the ones to miss out on top four which you disagreed with.

Fair enough point on Chelsea, I didn't see them getting as bad as this a few months back. I thought they were putting up a reasonable defense of their title, but its all gone to shite this year. Conte is now wanting sacked and they are in a real mess.

Btw I'm not always bullish about Liverpool if you remember my comments after the Spurs Wembley game. Thankfully the response since that time has proved to me this current Liverpool have a bit about them.

It is just one extra game midweek here and there...surely teams in CL should be able to manage that.

So, Kane is "ruled out until next month with ligament damage". The fact they've effectively said he's out between 3 and 7 weeks suggests they're not sure when he'll be fit again. Perhaps we won't even see him before the end of the season, I doubt they will play such a valuable player unless they're 100% sure he's fit.

Anyway, it would be a lie to suggest this hasn't the potential to help us to finish above them. Son is the only other Spurs player to score more than 10 goals in all competitions. I guess this is where we find out how much they rely on their main striker.
