DeGale is doing well. Had Dirrell down and has rocked him a few times.

I had it at 114-112 for DeGale, he should have had it done by the 3rd or 4th but the right man won. Hopefully he will learn from this and learn to finish big fights when he has the chance.

Hopefully Groves will beat Badou Jack and we can have a rematch.

Famous win. That was a much more exciting fight than I expected. I had 113-111 DeGale, I believe he saved himself by winning the final 2 rounds, after losing rounds 7-10. The knockdowns were key but I felt Dirrell bossed a lot of the fight. Even then it was still ridiculously close and even a draw was possible.

When I heard UD and the fact one ridiculous judge had it 117-109 I thought "stitch up". Credit Dirrell, he's tough. How can a judge score it like that, it is absolutely ludicrous.

That judge should be sacked.

It was a great fight. Credit to Dirrell for fighting back. If he didn't start so badly he'd have won. After that second round I thought he was going to get stopped.

Why is this fight on so early only 4.30 in boston anyone know?
Guy called Al Haymon is trying to make boxing massive in the US, signing all the top fighters and essentially trying to create boxings version of the UFC, ie Premier Boxing Champions. Airing fights in the afternoon on terrestrial networks is part of his plan to capture a bigger audience.

Good win for Chunky, I thought he was gonna let it slip but he took the last two rounds. Said a few pages back that the SMW scene is gonna belong to the UK before long, Ward excluded. If we got Froch, DeGale & Groves then we can more or less freeze Ward out though so he'll be irrelevent.

Massive win that for DeGale, Dirrell is a proper fighter. He'll be fed up of Brits though.

Frampton signed with Al Haymon. Leaves Quigg dead in the water but at least he's gonna get a chance to showcase his talent on the world scale.

Good move for Frampton. I fully expect him to unify the division. He's just awesome.

Peter Fury has been training KJ, dunno if it's all hot air but he's certainly about bars.

Another routine points win for Khan against Algieri in New York last night. Now will he step up and fight a genuine welterweight?

It wasn't that routine, Algieri can fight as he showed last night. Irks me people are slamming Khan for fighting Algieri, his resume is on par with Brook.

Two good scraps so far. Ryan behind on the scorecards stopped Hibbert. Cardle edged a cagey but to & throw affair against Evans. Good start to the card.

That was pointless match.

We're only 2 or 3 fights away from Joshua vs Fury.
I suspect Thompson next, run Chisora. Then Fury.

Time to ramp up the difficulty, but tonight proved the punching power. Only questions that reap Ian are his chin and ability on late rounds.

KJ is a decent enough gatekeeper.

Dunno who next. Arreola or Charr would be my preference. Really donlt see the point in Thompson. He's the only southpaw hw of his type, beating him wouldnt prep him for the future.

Who do people want him to fight exactly? All top boxers fight bums at the start of their career. It's the most impressive win on paper to date as although he is past it now Johnson was still a guy who still took Fury and Vitali the distance, even though he was utterly pointless tonight. He was just in the ring walking around waiting for it to end, first time he's ever been stopped though.

Sparring session. Pointless. Hearn gonna kill UK boxing if he carries on with these sort of headline PPV.s.

G Selbz performance of the night.

Why hasn't he faced a puncher since Garcia? He's scared of getting knocked out again and his team are cherry-picking lightweights for him.

Mind you, Brook needs to step up as well. I'm fed up of him beating top 15/20 guys without so much as a challenge. Gavin was a joke last night, he hardly threw a punch.
