Aren't we the only non reformed side to be crap enough to be relegated out of the league twice?
Sorry, I'm not having that. Chester reformed AFTER their second relegation.

The Aren't We Shit awards have to be worked for as hard as any other. :ds:

BROTHERHOOD UPDATE:

Torquay 0-1 Hartlepool

So it’s all change in the Brotherhood table with today’s huge Brotherhood derby being won by Hartlepool at Torquay.
I had a look at the Vanarama League table and to see 5 Brothers in the top 6 is excellent but then I noticed pesky little Sutton Utd trying to gatecrash the Brothers promotion party into League 2 so I have decided to award bonus Brotherhood points to Brothers that stop Sutton in their tracks. 1 bonus point will be awarded for every draw v Sutton and 2 bonus points will be awarded for any Brother that beats Sutton, so the revised table taking all that into account is now this:

Excellent work as always Mr Fish, it’s turning out to be a great season for all Brothers.

Hope fish's team aren't joining us next season, though I guess we're gaining a brother regardless as if Grimsby stay up it'll surely be at the expense of Southend.

I certainly support the Sutton rule. They're showing no respect for the natural order at all.

Circular being sent round all Brothers as we speak ordering them to do what's right.

Looks like they'll stop Torquay from going up which is disgraceful.

Hopefully come the end of the season they'll decide promotion is too expensive and they rightfully step aside to allow Torquay promotion.

As long as one of us takes the automatic spot then all is right in the world of footballing justice.

We’re here to smash the natural order and to restore balance. Long live the revolution and glorious first comrade Matt Gray!

For what it's worth, I thought Hartlepool looked a much better side than Sutton. Would be ace if you went up.

Well we're in with a chance if all of us pull together and stop the evil tinpotters from Surrey gatecrashing what is rightfully ours.

Its interesting to see what happens, early doors Torquay and Stockport both looked like really good teams, but they are turning into shadows of themselves through injuries (Torquay) and self destruction (Stockport).

Hartlepool look excellent recently, just with nothing up front. Chesterfield look quite ordinary (although to be fair there is continual improvement from them and I haven't seen them for a while) but they look far more potent a goal threat. If they keep Asante fit they have a Newport look to them.

We are far too negative and Notts County just look like a slightly better version of us.

My initial predictions are Hartlepool to go up as champions with Chesterfield through the play offs. Just Sutton to upset the brotherhood Applecart. Its also not impossible that either us or, more likely, Notts County, will shithouse their way past a better team in the play offs.

Sadly we’ve no hope, whether we play good or bad we always find a way to lose, we’re so bad that I think even Liverpool would beat us at the minute.

We could go either way, I think. If you’re being optimistic you’d say that we’re within a couple of wins with games in hand on everyone despite barely playing well all season, constantly having any momentum broken up by Covid breaks and having been without our outstanding attacking player for basically all of it. Our squad depth is also probably the best equipped of anyone’s to deal with two games a week. Everyone else near the top has been on a big run of wins, while we’ve largely just trundled along winning games 1-0, so maybe we’re due a burst at some point.

On the other hand, you can’t expect to just defend your way to a title and need to offer far more goal threat than we generally do. It probably all comes down to getting Roberts fully fit for at least 15 games or so. If that happens then we’ve got a decent chance - his signing last January turned a similarly solid but fairly uninspiring play-off team into title challengers.

We are approaching the stage where the right signing (or a key player coming back from injury) can be the difference. As we can't bring anyone in we are screwed, but everyone else could give themselves an edge. Or on the flip side someone crucial getting injured can be fatal with not many games left.

Fish does his best work on household products, his 'Brotherhood League Table on Polystyrene Cup - 2019' was a tour de force.
Haha It’s basically whatever I can find at work to write it on, the first table in this thread was done on one of my oven check sheets but last night I had no spare ones so I grabbed a paper towel instead.
Sadly the polystyrene cup table will be no more as our place has done away with them now and got in plastic cups instead. :(

As long as you don't write on anything made of tin then you won't get hauled in front of the exec to explain your conduct.

You would probably win at Anfield in fairness.

Don't worry about Sutton, they'll be having a run of poor "form" soon enough.

Could definitely see Doswell being appointed in an "advisory" role as well, seeing as he's got nothing to do for the rest of the season.

But on the other hand there is the good chance that 6 out of the top 7 places will be Brothers. That doesn't always happen.

Chesterfield the only one letting the Brotherhood down at present, no surprises there.
