Dale is a lunatic. Totally obsessed with the PFA paying 50% of Dawson’s wages. What about the other half?

Feel for Bury. What an awful situation. Hoping somebody steps in and saves you from total collapse. At this point, though, it looks unlikely.

Don't listen to the guy saying its making him ill either. Or that he has cancer. He has just returned from a 3 week holiday ffs. I've never seen him looking more radiant than he did on that SSN interview with his glowing cheeks, he almost seemed to be having to hold back a big grin.

Well done to Keown, you could hear the moment Dale started self combusting when he was asking him about the ground.

I'd struggle to live on 50% wages for months as would most so its irrelevant really.

Has he got no money? Purchased for £1 so why is he not doing the basics like paying wages?

He's an asset stripper, he refuses to pay people until they walk out or the company goes bust. He's done it with numerous companies before which are all available for public view.

Must admit; Dale comes across very badly in the numerous interviews he's done. Whoever is advising him to go public in an attempt to gain any support, is not doing him any favours.

Any monies that the PFA have paid to players (and it's usually a maximum of 50% I think) has to be repaid by the club at some stage. Think it forms part of "footballing debts" which have to be paid in full.

And I don't think I've ever heard a player telling his own Chairman that what he was saying was "lies". Horrible stuff.

Dale got asked if he owns the land, and what would happen if Bury went bang.....he didn't seem to answer that one

His talk sport interview sounded like Norman Smurthwaite last season after he’d threatened to liquidate the club an hour before our game and then rang in after fans were as expected slaughtering him on praise and grumble... then proceeded to rant just like that whilst sounding as though he was about to cry... was days later the sale was agreed... hopefully Bury get the same outcome but seems he has a different version of what’s going on than his player.

Jill Neville, club secretary who Dale said on air would back up his claims, has resigned from her position.

And that has to be the most telling move of all. If you didn’t believe it before, surely now you know that Dale is full of shit.

He's clearly wanting the club liquidated, the way he squirmed when Keown put it on him about the ground was telling.

Bury FC would not play anywhere this season, too late now for entry into any league.

If not wound up and in their current state they would not be admitted to the National league setup. I don't actually know of a club thrown out of the professional leagues that have been allowed status in the upper part of the non-league scene.
I also think the current Bury FC would struggle for admittance into the Northern League. Although they would have an entire year to try and sort something out.

Wouldn't be the Northern League as wrong side of the country (mainly). Likely a phoenix club would end up in the North West Counties League (which Division within it, I don't know).

They’d have to ensure they had the ‘golden share’ (not held by the FL as previously stated), to continue as the same club.

Darlington had to start again and were treated as a new club by the FA because they couldn’t (maybe didn’t), secure the share from Raj Singh.

The biggest thing is the ground

Get the ground and large chunks of fanbase back it, lose the ground and fans find excuses to not bother.

Of course assert strippers will try and get it, depend on council and how supportive of club they are as to whether they block any sortve development on it.

Bury I am sure would go northern league as will be gaps there end of season

Supposed to be a covenant (yes I know they can be challenged) on the ground from Earl of Derby days stating only to be used for football purposes.
Council "could" use this in conjunction with a compulsory purchase order to get the ground for a reasonable price and rent back to either BFC or 1885.

For your sakes I hope so. I know Oxford City Council have had many years of problems trying to get the Speedway/Greyhound Stadium from out of the clutches of developers, even though it is a "community asset" and have said they will not allow housebuilding on the site.

Oh, that isn't great but it only means you get 6 months grace to match a bid.

I think the covenant on the ground that the land can only be used for football is more valuable than the community asset. As you rightly say it only gives us the opportunity to match a bid, something we are unlikely to be able to do. Worryingly there are rumours that the covenant expired in the 80s (presumably 1985, 100 years after the Earl of Derby gifted the land).

When is the deadline for Bury to show the ELF they can play fixtures ? It must be so upsetting for the fans that love their club. Any chance of any kind of takeover?

It will be a shame to lose one of our local Lancashire clubs.

Been expelled from the League Cup.

Latest statement doesn’t make great reading either, Tranmere game suspended and this time have outlined the process once kicked out the EFL.

If I were the EFL then I would at the very least hold a place open for them in League Two for the 2020/21 season provided they can make the assurances on that occasion. I mean everyone knows that Dale and noone else is the problem here so even if it reaches the point where it's no longer feasible for Bury to compete in League One this season, nobody really benefits from taking punitive measures against them apart from clubs who get reprieved from relegation as a result. Having them back in League Two doesn't deprive anyone else of a place they earned.

Of course the reason they won't do this is that admitting that Dale is the problem would be to admit that their fit and proper person test was not fit or proper.

Shame, I was hoping for another 5-0, 3 points gimme.

Get it over with EFL, stop this uncertainty now. It's not fair on the rest of the league.

That statement looks the most forboding yet, kind of a "Mr Dale, this is exactly what is going to happen on Friday if you don't sort your shit out imminently".

I’ve been made aware that they will be out of business by Friday by someone in the FSF I truly hope the Bury fans can get a Phoenix club up and running
