I'd be disappointed if we couldn't see this one out, not sure Barnet have the subs to change the match in their favour and we may give Brisley a run out for some of this second half who I'm hoping will prove to be our best centre back.

Should be 3-0 up.

Have this awful feeling we're going to regret these missed chances, I'll be a lot happier if we get the next goal

I'll have you know Batt and Muggleton are amazing impact subs to have at this level, thank you very much. How very dare you.

I may be reconsidering my comment as the Shaun Batts of this world always seem to have their one good game of the season against us.

Fucking awful.

Akinde must've been in bed with the ref's wife or something.

Great win, Barnet is a tough place to go and it sounded like a very dominant first half performance. Second half was nervy once again but it didn't sound like they ever really threatened. Brisley sounded solid when he came on, another positive.

Still unbeaten, and two home games to come!

That was harder than it should have been.

Same old story, failing to take our chances. We got away with it today but we really need to start being ruthless and putting teams to bed while we're on top.

3 points is 3 points though.

Agree that we're not putting games to bed when we should, but pretty pleased that we have a clean sheet and continued our record of scoring in every game, we might not have come out of the traps flying but we look pretty solid and don't look like a team that will go and have a poor spell that scuppers our promotion chances. I can see us just consistently keeping up this kind of form, and even though I hope we get a bit more exciting up front like we were last season, it should be enough to seal automatic promotion. We seem to have the right type of players in our squad now to cope with most of what's thrown at us and aren't making as many careless errors. Orient and Accrington will be tough but fingers crossed for two more wins.

If that performance becomes the norm we'll go down this season. Truly, truly abysmal. Abject on the pitch, nothing decent to come off the bench... Poor. Everyone had a bad game bar maybe Johnson.

Carlisle looked good but anyone would've today. Jabo is dirty though, and your goalkeeper is an injury-feigning cockbag.

Feigning injury? Are you talking about when Akinde who is built like a heavyweight boxer ran full speed in to him?

Most people would struggle to pull through, never mind carry on the match. It'd be like being hit by a Virgin Pendolino.

Well he didn't catch him properly - if he did then yeah I agree he'd be with the fairies now. But there was no way that challenge was a foul - Akinde done the GK over until the ref decided it was a foul somehow

Couldn't tell whether it was a foul from our end, but he definitely collided with him.

He got to the ball first, collided a bit and the rebound fell kindly but tosspot referee called the foul. Bad decision.

I can't work it out ....is Mr HG happy or not ?
I sincerely hope so, our team is far from perfect but it's streets ahead of what we've had in the past few years. Last year Barnet hammered us (despite losing still), this time we gave them a #footballing #lesson as the great Keith Curle would say.

What football fan wouldn't be happy with the glorious prospect of the Checkatrade Trophy still to come as well.

Happy with this win? Yes.

Happy with this performance? Yes.

Happy with start to the season? Kind of, but feel like we're not taking advantage of how well we're playing. It really should be 4 wins and a draw rather than 2 wins and 3 draws. Even yesterday it was a nervy last 10 minutes when really we should have put the game to bed by half time.

So I'm happy, but room for improvement.

Did we earn the right to play our game©?
