That is hilarious. Is it something every generation says or has the quality of politicians gone through the floor these days?

We have Brexit, one of the worst leaders ever (as history will judge) has been replaced by someone probably more useless and the leader of the opposition is Jeremy Corbyn who is literally on popular because he is left wing and not because of competency.

I miss John Major. John fucking Major.

They can only force a vote of confidence, which I predict she will win purely because of everyone who wants to be Tory leader she is the least like a self-serving shitgibbon.

David Davies chief of staff calling a sick child a 'pathetic cretin,' for no reason at all.
The target of the remark was obviously the stepfather, not the ill child. That doesn't make it okay but you've misrepresented the situation (knowingly or not) and made it sound much worse than it is.

The boy in the photo looks about 10 years old. Children that age don't care about Brexit. They don't care about politics at all (which is exactly how it should be), so it's beyond gross when parents use their kids as props in some political and/or virtue-signalling stunt. And that's what happened here.

No normal 10-year-old boy who's just had an operation is 'gutted' because he can't attend an anti-Brexit march. Do the siblings pictured wearing the "Bollocks to Brexit" hats have any idea what that slogan means and how it might be perceived by others? If people must indulge in shallow gesture politics (a problem that's been made 1,000 times worse by social media) the least they should do is keep their politically clueless children out of it.

In short, there are worse reasons for calling someone a cretin.

P.S. Jackson is formerly Davis's Chief of Staff. He left DExEU when Davis did earlier this year. Therefore, any ill-advised thing he says online has nothing to do with the government

I just don't think it's ok to call anyone a 'pathetic cretin' at any point.

Is that ok?

You can think and write whatever you like, mate. You don't need my approval.

But if you obviously misrepresent a situation to make it look much worse than it was, I'm probably gonna point it out. Cool?

"Cretin"
"Not normal"

Why can't Brexiters leave that poor boy alone?

MPs now having a go at the Met Police for not doing enough to stop them being harassed outside parliament. How many of them have gone along with police cuts for the last 10 years?

These guys truly don't see a problem unless it happens exactly to them in the Westminster bubble.

If the DUP had switched, the Tories would have lost the vote tonight by 1.

Imagine what would have happened if any of the Tories who voted against May a month ago had a backbone.

It really is embarrassing how the Tory MPs voted tonight.

I wonder if he's secretly breathing a sigh of relief. His notion of Brexit seemed every bit as vague and muddled as hers.

Weird that because brexit is perfectly clear and concise in its definition to everyone else.

Uncle Jeremy is currently refusing to attend talks with the government unless May takes “No Deal” off the table, which she can’t do because it’s the default position enshrined in law. If parliamentary procedure is followed (admittedly a big “if” with Bercow in position), the only way to avoid “No Deal” is to secure a parliamentary majority for an alternative.

I have a soft spot for the old commie tramp, but he forwent his right to be taken seriously on any of this stuff a long time ago.

Chris Grayling has had a good week, the mind boggles. In what planet can this plantpot still be in a job. His continued shambolic work sums up this current political climate, for his sheer incompetence and waste of hundreds of millions of pounds he should be strung up :fing:

I imagine if Chris Grayling manages to get himself dressed properly 1 day out of 7 he considers it to be a successful week.

So May's resigned then. Speech was a bit pathetic, I would have let rip, nothing to lose might at least go out on a memorable note.

Hopefully Boris wins. Might as well go the whole way down the shitter now.

Imagine what the headlines would have been like this morning had it been found that Jeremy Corbyn broke the law, suspended parliament and lied to the Queen.

Just imagine.
