There is an opposition.
A powerful & inspiring message.
When was that statement released?
When was that statement released?
So not a response in opposition to the autumn statement?
Typical leftpunching by mnb089mnb... Friend of Blair.
Rolls off of the tongue.
A fourth industrial revolution and resultant full automation is potentially the most important policy development of the 21st Century: potentially bigger than the creation of the welfare state. I don't know enough about the ins and outs of how it would be developed and implemented in the short/mid-term, but our collective notion of what work/labour actually means and how it functions would change fundamentally. It would be a radical emancipation and preliminary discussion about such a project is also an indicator, hopefully, that Labour have a radical vision for Brexit that isn't dependent on xenophobic/racist or anti-internationalist discourse.
It's not the theory, it's the presentation of it to the electorate that's the problem. A half decent ad person should be able to condense that sentence into something a bit more snappy, that will connect with voters better.
But he wasn't pitching to the electorate. He was pitching to business leaders at the CBI conference.
He was pitching it to the electorate via his twitter account.
