What, above Key, DBD, SNE and Joe (and God for that matter) ?

You would certainly argue that he's a better batsmen than all of them given his performances for New Zealand.

I would probably have him ahead of Denley at the moment and I can see Key taking more of a backseat again.

Just wouldn't make sense to me to sign someone with nearly 1,500 test runs just to back-up the wicket-keeper.

Think Key will go for it for one last year, as he is after some sort of personal milestone.

Perhaps Latham will play more 4 day stuff and Denly will play 20 and 50 over cricket

Very sad news. :(

A truly great player, probably New Zealand's best ever, a very stylish and classy player but not lacking in the steel to battle it out when the going got tough.

His record, at a time when Test cricket was full of great bowlers including the mighty Windies pace attack, stands up against the vast majority of batters during that period.

So what do we think to the proposed changes to the domestic County Championship - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/35744204

Less 4 day games means more One Days and Twenty20 matches which is down to the fact the ECB want/need to make money out of the game by attracting new fans and TV revenue..

Maybe a sign that even they accept the attraction in the long form of the game is dwindling?

I felt if the CC was being re-arranged then 3 divisions of 6 was a better way to go, yes there's a fair bit less 4 day cricket, however the competitiveness would shoot through the roof.

Also Afghanistan vs Scotland being held at Nagpur? It holds 45,000 who thought that was a good idea!

Afghanistan through.

Decent effort from them - some really big hitting aided them to 186.

Managed to score 177 in our last warm up game against Mumbai XI, Willey and Rashid (playing for Mumbai) just ripped through our batting line up.

Looking forward to the start of the Super 10 stage today. Interesting game first up with India taking on NZ who start life after Brendan McCullum.

Christ!

Only seen bits of this today, but turning it back on to see India 79-9 from 17 is unbelievable!

What a superb effort in the field from NZ then.

See India have never beaten NZ in T20s - pretty crazy stat.

Pakistan battering Bangladesh here, Afridi smashing 49 and popping up with a couple of wickets

Right, now England. Feel pretty confident we can make it to the semis if not actually win the thing, but the way this format is you can only really afford one slip up

FFS Chris Jordan still in the side, how many chances will he get! And David Willey should be above both him and Ali in the order too rather than down at 10, for all the discussions they used to have of Ben Stokes being at 7/8 or whatever it used to be, Willey opens the batting in domestic T20 and has a T20 100 to his name.

Calling Jordan an all rounder is generous, he's barely an international bowler.

Belting start, Roy and Hales going well.

Listening on TMS, busy for the first two games unfortunately so I'm settling for the radio commentary.
