Superb performance. To think how far this team have come in just over a year is astonishing. I wonder what odds you'd have got on this after the abysmal showing at the World Cup last year? You'd have been considered insane for even contemplating the bet.

Also a word on Chris Jordan. I was one of his biggest critics but his death bowling has been crucial so far in the tournament. Still not sure if he should be in the 50 over side but I don't think you can deny his importance to the T20 team.

NZ touring here was what caused this turn in English cricket, the 'New England' iirc. Them coming here on a high after the ODI World Cup was what completely turned us, we had :to go out and slog it, Bairatow played a big part too I think!

It's amazing though, how where we were this time last year and now we have the most powerful and devastating batting line-up in cricket.

It's quite a shock. The big cities are particularly bad as well. It's the wealth gap that's really sickening, though. It's a relatively new country but with so many ridiculously wealthy people, more should be done to help its most vulnerable.

Just seen Somerset have signed Jayawardne as our other T20 player, checked to see if it were an April Fool given his recent retirement etc however BBC are also reporting it. Seems Somerset are trying to go all out with the bat again. I really would have liked to see us try and get de Kock or AB in to keep, if Davies doesn't work out then we're looking at Barrow playing or Trescothick taking the gloves again.
