Hopefully I'll be there too

Booked tickets straight away before you Yorkshire lot get on there.

Will be a huge Kent contingent there too, think Yorkshire vs Kent would make the best final on and off the field.

Stop. Selecting. Sam. Billings.
Er, no. Leave him in the England team, we would have lost the SF had he been available.
His current batting average is worse than mine

Currently sat in the sun watching a Vincey masterclass, though that said Yorkshire’s bowling and fielding in the first 40 overs has been dross. Much better since Vince has gone but we have hit the self destruct button again. Should have been pushing 400 but the Yorkies will have to bat well to chase this. Be interesting watching how Steyn goes now with a couple of games played, he’s been shite in the ones I’ve seen so far.

Just got home, fairly comfortable in the end, but all I heard on the radio coming home was how Yorkshire lost because they were missing ‘their’ England players. They’re not Yorkshire’s, they’re England’s and just get lent to Yorkshire. The days of county players playing for England are long gone, since Central contracts were introduced its been the other way round. Hardly any mention of Vinceys knock, which is a shame.

Agreed, I think it was Jimmy Anderson who said the England team think of themselves as the 19th county - that's partly the reason it stings so much when you lose a player to the Test/ODI sides. The idea of rocking up every week and declaring we're 'missing Stuart Broad' is an odd one.

Sam Northeast is going to win it for Hampshire with an unbeaten 150, isn’t he?

Might get 500 here. By the way has anyone applied for World Cup tickets and if so have you heard anything back yet?

I applied and not heard anything yet. Nobody I know who has applied has heard anything yet either though.

At times like this, you just gotta laugh at Australia.

They've got their 5 best players missing tbf, it's quality destroying them though. You just know we will fuck the world cup up though.

Oh, there's no doubt about it - we'll find a way to throw it away. We'll get bowled out for 80 in the semi final or something.

Think that Buttler run out is one of the best I've ever seen - out from behind the stumps, take the glove off, pick up and throw on the turn and Paine isn't slow either. Ridiculous.

It was remarkably good, wasn't it. He read it perfectly, was incredibly quick to get to it and hitting the stumps on the spin from there is mightily impressive.

The guy is flying, amazing one day knock and another century yesterday.

Smashed Middlesex to go top of Div 2 (albeit temporarily). Shame we haven't got as many batting points as bowling points

Could the double be on?

Certainly a huge improvement in all forms from Kent this year. Pleasing to see.

Ah, wasn’t to be, great effort from that side to even make the final.

Great day out, good drink and a lovely sunburn.

Yep have to agree, burnt to buggery and 4 hours on the Watercress Line real ale train afterwards didn’t help. Great performance from the boys though I thought it was a strange decision to put us in. Sat with a load of Kent lads and they were a great bunch, cracking day out for £25

Yeah, I would have batted first but I understood his thinking. It was going to be batter friendly all day and chasing had worked well for us throughout the competition.

I don’t blame the toss decision on the result. I think it came down to the opening stand of Alsop and Rossouw and possibly more importantly, the first run out. It was good fielding but pretty brainless from Kuhn to be honest trying to nick just a single. We were going well, him particularly and I do think he and DBD could have gone on to 100+ stand themselves and then who knows, we have plenty of big hitters coming in after them to accelerate if needed.

Best team won on the day, no doubt. Quite exciting times for Kent cricket again though hopefully.

Opps.. real hammering today.

Outclassed in every department.

Didn't get going with the bat and hardly troubled India with the ball.

Conditions are in their favour, you have to fear for the test series. Bowling wise at least it’s pretty clear they’re stronger than us.
