Took it further than we thought to the penultimate ball, but there we go. England's weak bowling attack shown up again. Woakes is poor, Broad needs a streak soon or else his confidence will go and he will become a liability. Ali/Tredwell are just 'holding' spinners. Good test side, poor ODI.

Thankfully once all this ODI shit is out of the way, we can return to test cricket. HUGE test year for England 2015. 3 in the Windies, 2 at home to New Zealand, 5 at home to Australia and then 4 tests in South Africa for our winter tour! Busy times.

I've been watching it a bit Dave. Quite like the quicker format, the big crowds/grounds of Australia. Very fitting that Brett Lee will be in the BB final as of this morning, a nice way to end a brillant career would be for him to take wickets/score the winning runs to win the trophy.

It's a good partnership but it's not great from England . India are really poor and don't look interested tbh

Decent win, but we made it tough on an iffy wicket. Worryingly the top order either clicks and scores massively or we end up for 50/4 and not much in between. We will need to improve in order to beat the Aussies, or do anything in the WC. However, we are a better side than we were 6 months ago and you get the feeling with Ali at the top, no Cook, Taylor, Root, Buttler etc then we will start scoring 300+ quite often. I think there is promise there.

Don't get me wrong, we've been rubbish, but being set 200 in an ODI, Taylor did all that was required from him with wickets falling the other end, stay there!

I'm not knocking Taylor . He did a fine job holding that together . It's more the blind panic before and after his innings that worries me . That and bowling wide long hops at the death as a tactic .

I won't take India lightly even after their poor showing. WC is a different level and this team is something in ICC events. 21 win out of 25 since 2011 in major ICC tournaments is no joke.
