I feel Joe Root's game is building an innings but with safety very much in the fore. I hope he can adapt his game and continue to average 50+

Aye Brook was very impressive, hint of Pietersen about him with some of his shots. In theory the bowling should be even more potent in the next test as Wood should be available. Wonder if they’ll be tempted to throw in the young leggie Rehan Ahmed also?

That’s the thing now England have gone down this road Bazball is going to be permanent. Similar to how Morgan revolutionised Englands white ball game. Everyone that follows will now be in the same mould.

Thought we bowled well. Think it looks a pretty dead track once the ball gets a bit softer. Thought Rehan looked promising, that Googly of his turns almost square, if he can develop a legbreak then he could become really good.
