Virtually impossible for them to not qualify
Virtually. But lose by 100+ runs here.. and Pakistan will know what they have to do on Friday...

I was gutted Bangladesh didn't manage it the other day, really wanted India to somehow crash out after they threw it at the end on Sunday

Glad England won so easily - was a bit worried when we "only scored" 305 but seems the bowlers were on good form and with 2 run outs also decent in the field.

Who we want in the semis?

Wonder if India and Australia will rest players for their final group games?

Even though we lost to them I'd still prefer the Aussies. Much bigger home advantage for one thing.

Just got to hope SA play with a point to prove. Highly doubt we'll see any weakened teams, there's a big carrot for topping the group - let's be right NZ are looking a much more appealing opponent than us right now

NZ were always by far the weakest side of the four.

Got off to a flier by beating the weaker sides, they’ve lost convincingly against us and Australia and beaten by Pakistan. They’re lucky their match against India was washed out otherwise they wouldn’t have made the semis at all.

Cricket final to be on FTA telly if England get there.

Probably put the mockers on it!

BBC have the Wimbledon final and Channel 4 the British GP so not sure who will show it ?

England v Australia in the semi’s then. I’m good with that, think we have the beating of them with the way we’ve played the last couple of games. Have to admit am glad at least the majority of the crowd will be supporting England now which wouldn’t have happened if it was India.

Great performance from South Africa. At least for them that’s something they can take from this tournament.

Really dull batting from NZ. Shame to see them go away from the attacking style they did under McCullum. Par for me looks about 300 and NZ will be well short of that.

Rain has arrived with NZ 211-5 off 46 overs .

Williamson and Taylor with half centuries .

You feel the NZ bowlers will have to get Rohit and Kohli out early .

Maybe we shouldn't be hosting the WC.

Well it's been ok for 2 weeks and down South we haven't had any rain today so just bad luck ..
We've had a world cup record of washed out games and other rain affected matches. It really does ruin the tournament when so many games get affected this way. Not only has it affected the league positions but if it rains tomorrow and Thursday (mixed forecasts) you could have the finalists being based on not the semi final results but where they finished in the group.

I hope that doesn't happen its pretty embarrassing as it is.

Indians set 240 to win.

Guess they will have doubts about the rain so might want to start quickly.

Kohli and Rohit gone early. India still big favourites but NZ got the perfect start.

3 down now.

Great spell of bowling from the opening duo taking advantage of the conditions.

What a catch to take Kartik. Right up with the best in the tournament. NZ just need to keep searching for the wickets, done wonders to push up the required rate also this start.

NZ into the final then. Brilliant performance from them having been pretty much written off prior to the game.

Think Dhoni went a little too slow again, put too much pressure on the other end.
