C'mon lads, lets kill the FA Cup tradition.

These big boy clubs, they can duly fuck off. If they don't want to be in it, then they should drop out. Leave the fun and imagination to the rest of us.

Last season I had one of the best away day games in the 3rd round at Coventry and 4th round replay at Sheffield Utd. Taking that experience away kills the game a little more. Sad.

Some non league sides might feel disappointed they haven’t been picked over Crewe v Derby for example.

Completely agree. Scarborough, Marine, Slough and Hereford in particular all at home vs football league teams.

But at the same time, I called it straight away that Crewe vs Derby had a good chance due to tge fact Derby are a big club at this level.

True and you are doing well too.

Also people will know not to turn off off if your 2 down!

Lower league fans dream of replays against big name clubs, and it's only city that keep complaining about fixture pile-ups. Just scrap replays involving them

Just seen this. The fucking elite 6 or 7 running the game again. Does your bleeding head in. They’ll always get what they want eventually, one day it’ll be B teams in the league system.

Why don’t them in European comps just not play in the league cup instead? Shouldn’t matter anyway, like any of them play any of their best players until the last 16 anyway

If we were to lose to Slough the funny thing would be (won’t seem funny at the time mind) that we will have gone out in the first round to step 6 teams twice in the last 3 years, yet sandwiched in between would be getting to the quarter finals beating higher ranked teams in every round.

Hope we put on a show for the TV cameras and prove ourselves worthy of selection. I don't think we should have been put on, but I suppose there might be a few tuning in to see us maybe upset Derby.

Slough must be rubbing their hands in anticipation for this, playing against a team with zero confidence and no manager, they will never have a better chance to pull off a shock, although I do think we will still win though.

Walsall keeper has to be saving that surely.

The Sheppey keeper is earning himself a move up the pyramid with this performance. Get the feeling another Walsall goal is a matter of time though.

Wycombe at home.

About as dull and poor a tie as you can get. And likely to lose.

Magic of the cup. We never, ever get interesting draws.

Glad I wasn't the only one watching that last night thinking the same thing. It's a good strike but one the keeper should be getting to every single time. Woeful play. Thankfully it didn't matter in the end.

You are joking right? In the last 9 seasons, you've had draws against Halifax, Dartford, Aldershot, Chesham and Tonbridge Angels. That's 6 non-league clubs. Know how many non-league draws we've had in that time? 2, both against Eastleigh. You've got nothing to complain about.

Fair.

Only Halifax was away though (well, Tonbridge was too - but during COVID).

Chesham and Dartford at home were very meh. I'm just greedy - I want a local non league team to me. Give me a Curzon Ashton, Hyde Utd, Stalybridge etc. Not asking for too much!

I'll let you have your two ties with Eastleigh though. That is grim.

A Crewe fan Googling the non league FA cup opponents of Bradford City during the previous 9 years before 8:00 on a Saturday morning is enough internet for today.
Woke up with boxing gloves on. Lives for the arguments.

If we play how we did against wrexham at home in the league we shouldn’t have any problems - clearly it doesn’t work like that however.

In that game it looked like wrexham didn’t like pace, given akins is injured i can’t see us playing much long ball

Losing Akins after playing every minute for us is an issue mind, we clearly was not sure how to play or set up Tuesday without him.

convenient that Oates is nearly back - nice to have some good news on the injury front for once.

For me it was a gentle nudge that i still think we need another AM/forward who can hold the ball up more than akins and oates.

Swan has no confidence and gale doesn’t look ready and has offered little when playing (his greatest input so far was stopping that goal he got in the way of)
