The Fantasy Remake Thread

If they haven't remade it yet then they soon will so we might as well all just give up and join in. Here's a thread to discuss potential remakes that you could possibly dig maybe.

X-Men tv series please, starting out like the original with Xavier, Cyclops, Beast, Jean Grey, Iceman & Angel as the X-Men

I reckon most comic book adaptations would work much better if they were a TV series rather than movies... comic books are pretty much done on an episode by episode basis. Stuff like Arrow and The Walking Dead work well because of it. Would be good to see a big name like Spiderman or Batman get that treatment (Gotham doesn't count!).

Also, does this just have to be remakes? How about just fantasy movies that you'd love to see happen? No? Well, screw you, I'm doing it anyway.

Firstly, Metal Gear Solid would be cool. Shut up person saying it'd go on for about 7 hours. That's ok. Pretty sure I've done this before on here (or, you know, TFF) But yeah... The casting:

Solid Snake:

Josh Holloway/Sawyer. Give the fucking man his movie to make him a star, already. He could totally pull off a badass Solid Snake.

Liquid Snake:

I know they're supposed to be clones, but fuck you. They could pass as brothers, and that's enough. Jaime would make an awesome Liquid Snake.

Revolver Ocelot:

This shit just writes itself.

Hm. Seems to be the internets choice. I'm not entirely convinced. Fuck it though, with glasses on he passes for enough of a nerd.

Because he's pretty much the best actor on the planet that we're never allowed to see the face of.

Any guy who can do kung fu and all that shit can be Cyborg Ninja and in the sequel just cast some woman to play Raiden and we're done.

The only problem is I'm sure that nobody on earth has a voice awesome enough to be Campbell, so the whole thing may be screwed. Though, seeing as we only need to use his voice, how about getting the voice actor dude?!

Just let the man go somewhere between his natural accent and the gruff "CORAL" accent and he'll be fine. Alternatively, Josh Brolin.

Probably enough of a cross between Clint Eastwood and Stephen King himself to work.

Eddie Dean - Aaron Paul

He wants the role and the role wants him.

Susannah Dean - Zoe Saldana

She's been blue, she's been green, she's been in space. I'm sure she can manage being a legless schizophrenic gunslinger.

The Man In Black/Randall Flagg/Walter O'Dim/Marten Broadcloak - Matthew McConaughey

Since he seems to have been cast as Randall Flagg in The Stand already.

Was tempted to have CORAL as Jake, but he couldn't pull off being 12-14 now. He could however work as Young Roland.

There's too many other characters to even think about.
