We don’t have a rivalry with them, that’s kind of the point about how we care very little for you but if you check social media, your fans (mostly the younger contingent) have a fascination with us. It’s understandable though, you can speak about clubs playing in the bottoms leagues all you like but the facts are that in the past 20 years we have spent all but 3 seasons in either the championship or league one whilst you lot continued to mix it in this division and the national league. I get it why we are your cup final. Enjoy yourselves again next season.
I've personally not really seen that. The social media Town fans are definitely like that with Lincoln, Scunny and weirdly/cringeworthily Wrexham...but Donny? Not sure about that at all. Sounds like it's something you want to be real. Hopefully we will enjoy ourselves at the Keepmoat again, was a decent away day last season. Will be nice next season if a) it's a match that has something riding on it and b) the Donny fans actually turn up for it.
Seems like you are the one trying to create a rivalry on here with us and failing miserably.
Please show some examples of our younger fans and their fascination with Doncaster as I’m regularly on Twitter and I’ve never seen it.
Let’s be honest it’s all just in your head.
(Along with not a lot else).
I think he's mistaking us taking 2500 fans there for a dead rubber match in April as some kind of indication that that was to do with it specifically being Donny and not purely because it's only about 45 minutes away.
Slow-cooked BEEF.
More like mouldy beef that's been left out on the side that nobody wants to eat.

So, if WAGMI have put the money they earned from the NFT launch into the club, this would count as fortune income? Given that this £4 million or so would count as an astronomical percentage of the club's income, I would be very interested to see their accounts. (Not because they might have done anything wrong). It would be a one-off payment, with no hope of an ongoing revenue stream. One might hope for their sake that they didn't pour the whole sum into the club in one financial year.
Crawley's online shop doesn't work, their season tickets are low priced and low in number, they have next to no sponsorship, they've received virtually no transfer income in the last year, and even if they were doing well on iFollow numbers compared to other L2 clubs, that wouldn't be much money. Attendances are low. I think they don't own their ground.
Speculating about Crawley's finances makes me spiral.
Wagmi binned a lot of the previous sponsors (The People's Pension Stadium etc) but they did have to 'prove' two years of funding to buy the club.

They have said we overspent last season, sacking coaching teams, dofs, and ceo, paying off players who were told that they are no longer wanted at the club, paying compo for getting new managers and wierd training trips to Spain will cause that, but our attendances are actually up (go figure after the dross we were served) and there are still a cadre of local sponsors around.

The ground is owned by the local council and was provided as part of the deal when they decided to build on our previous ground. They are extremely decent landlords and this has, probably, saved us from the normal lower league rip off merchants.

Wagmi decides to stop funding us we go bust but the same could be said about our previous owners and most lower league clubs.

Have you seen the minutes of the meeting between the CTSA and Eben that were released today (but the meeting took place months ago). The headline was that they couldn't afford a CEO and (if I'm reading it correctly) had no salary room (until they got rid of Craig, Francomb, and presumably soon, Hess). So maybe they'll only bring in 3 new players on transfer or loan, but I'd suggest that if they do good business they'll be ok. Also chimes with Lindsey admitting that the club can't bring in players of the level of Jonny Williams.
There's also this.
As I've said above, i don't think it's that the club has no money. I think it's keeping within expenditure guidelines.
Anyway, for the purposes of this thread, we can safety say that crawley are not going to be going for it in any sense.

The Donny fans will be there next season. Like I have said previously, the last two seasons, fans have been voting with their feet due to the board making it very clear that they wished to no longer put any money in to the football club. It is down to the fact that fans voted with their feet, that the board have now finally woken up and decided they want to push the club forward again, which has seen the fans respond with increased season ticket sales.

Should be a cracking atmosphere next season at both fixtures. We will be well up there. I see another mid table season for you lot. We obviously enjoyed ourselves very much at Blundell Park in what turned out to be one of only a handful of decent performances all season.

I'm no accountant so can anyone explain the significance of changing the accounting period by one day?

It’s a very common way of getting more time to file accounts, especially since the COVID concession ended.
It cannot be done every year.
Nothing sinister here.

Cheers.

Back on topic, we've got Wrexham away on the final day of the season in a blatant Sky-baiting ploy

Nothing confirms you’re in the basement more than getting Colchester away first up.

We’ve got them easter friday following everyone’s weird interest in stating when they play wrexham.

Crewe away first up, home on boxing day which is good, away to stockport NYD (which is basically home anyway) and barrow away final game of the season.

Doncaster and tranmere tuesday night trips sadly and miss notts county away as in scotland for the weekend

Stockport away for us first up, one of the hardest games in the league out the way nice and early. Should take a decent number of fans up there too, maybe 1k as long as there's no train strikes!

You could argue that given how we are the de facto defending champions all you Going for It lot are just pretenders to our crown.

Most shocking news for us is that Barrow away is NOT on a Tuesday night. :ohm:

It’s on a Friday night instead.

Aha yeah just seen that, my lad told me it was a Friday night so it’s the cane for him now.
