Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
As I am wont to do of a Friday evening, I was perusing the Flat Earth Society wiki, and thought I'd regale the forum with my review of the best pages it has to offer.

1 - We start with the most famous fictional version of a flat earth, and a useful cultural touchstone to use for easily remembered terminology.
If, erm. You can remember it. Such a well written and edited slice of the internet.. How could anything they say be wrong.

http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=Terry Pratchett

2 - Next is the real crux of the issue. Why. The old adage is 'follow the money'... So who is getting rich be befuddling the masses? Erm. Fucked if we know, guv. But it's possible that the western world has been lying to the population for years, just to scare ISIS. (No muslims ever did any science did they? Like ages ago? No? Cool.)

http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=Motive of the Conspiracy

3 - Aha. Gotcha it seems....

(No... Those undersea winds can be a real bastard at times.)

http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=Undersea Cables

4 - And as a return volley... Checkmate!! No one has measured the exact distance between the tops of the pylons of the Humber Bridge. QEmotherfuckinD. Flat as a flat thing.

http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=The+Humber+Bridge

5 - Erm, what? Does saying words make things a 'thing' now?

http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=Constant Speed of the Sun

LOL try to ridicule anyone who has opposing views is this first sign of defeat?

Still waiting for anyone to circumnavigate north to south and still waiting for a live video of the full globe earth spinning.

Oh and why can't anyone show why you can see for dozens of miles and no curve in site...........LOL

and a curved horizon would be nice too LOL

this is nothing new, tell a lie often enough it becomes true......

Just like since birth we have all been told the earth is a globe and yet no-one ever challenges it or asked for evidence ( erm there is none) not one video ever shown of the complete earth spinning.

thanks for reminding me of the thread too

Sorry to bring this up again but i am going ballooning in a few days and we could reach 1 mile high ( wind dependent ) and i am going to take some pics and carry out a few experiments.

It's off the beach near my house in sunny Birkdale ( travelling up coast for 3 or 4 miles)

Looking forward to confirm if there is a curved horizon or not and put this to bed once and for all.

:gr:

A topical interjection if I may?

Given today is the Vernal Equinox, how the fuck does that happen in Flat Earth World? Or is it just the Freemasons fiddling with time again?

They'll have some reason for it.

Like the seasons happening because the sun moves out to a wider diameter and speeds up exactly enough to stay at 24 hours. (And doesn't look any smaller...)

Doesn't explain the seasons in the Southern Hemisphere, mind. But they probably think Australia is a myth invented by the illuminati.

Several people have. I'm still waiting for an answer to the geometry of the sun.

Flat Earthers claim it's 3,200km up and at most, from where I live, directly above a point 14,000km away (i.e. over the equator on the other side of the earth.) at it's furthest point.

The sun's lowest possible point using those numbers is 13 degrees.

If you were sat at the Gwladys Street end of Goodison Park, you'd be able to see the sun over the Park End. At midnight.

Why is the horizon at 179.92° instead of 180°?

Thanks, I was really worried about this, glad we have Johnny Todd going up in his balloon to give us a final judgement on this big matter which scientists have been unable to solve.

Sadly, as I flew to Paris a few weeks ago, I was unable to get that elusive proof, because my daughter insisted on having the window seat.

Why do five-year-olds en-route to Disneyland insist on ruining science?
