The world is quite large...this is why experiments over 6 miles on a river are laughable, and why the horizon looks flat.
NASA say the earth curves 8" per mile so by their measurements over 6 mile on a straight stretch of flat water that should be 48" or 4ft, either their own calculations are wrong or the earth is flat..........it's quite simple.

Where have you got 'squared' from?

It's eight inches per mile. Or a gradient of 0.00157%

Or slightly less than that five miles up.

I don't think it's much of an adjustment.
its what NASA say

Further question....

What's the deal with time zones then? What, and where is the sun. I can't see it here right now. It's dark. The sun is nowhere to be seen. If I rang my brother in Singapore, it would be there. How does a sinlge point light source only illuminate one part of a flat surface, while also disappearing over the horizon? If the earth was flat, the sun would have to be equidistant in it's orbit, or it would get noticeably bigger and smaller as it drifted around the planet, illuminating the right places at the right times, but if it is, in a circular orbit, everywhere on the planet would experience sunset at the same time.

And it would also be noticeably larger the further south you went as you got closer to it. When I was in Sydney, it wasn't like a huge disk in the sky.

And while we're on that. It's hottest at midday when the sun is at it's highest point. It's hotter in summer when it rises and sets higher than in winter when it's lower down, so why is it so fucking cold at the north pole?

Interesting question until you consider that the sun is also different to what NASA says it is. Consider the sun isn't actually the size NASA say it is or indeed so many miles away...............what if it was smaller and closer, and this will explain your timezone question, look at this video from the start the first 2 minutes should be enough.

How is it that gravity is strong enough to stick trillions of gallons of water to a globe earth..........

But weak enough not to sink a man in a kayak.......open your eyes !

Since when did NASA become the sole authority on all things space? Ancient astronomers such as Cassini told us most things such as how far away the sun is, modern astronomy just made it more accurate.

Ahh Cassini the freemason what a surprise..........bit weird that 95% of all astronauts are Freemasons too don't you think?

How come it doesn't change size as it moves away then? How come the small sun floating above a flat planet can illuminate a strip of the planet on a north-south plane, but isn't also visible to people further east and west? Equally visible from Finland to South Africa.. The North Pole to the south, but pitch black elsewhere. How can a point of light illuminate one area of a flat surface but not another

How can a sun millions of miles away have sun rays this defined and at that angle, if we are to believe NASA's calculations of how far the sun is from earth, these angles of rays would make the sun 100 times bigger than they say it is...............or the sun is smaller and closer.

The earth is supposedly tilted on its axis = 23.4 degrees. To be upright at 90 degrees we get: 90-23.4 =66.6 (or 666)

coincidence?

Amazing why planes cannot fly in the southern hemisphere over water for long periods or distance, they ALWAYS have to fly over land for direction..........another reason why there is real doubt about GPS satellites even existing..........all directional instruments are land based.............next time your signal goes on anything relying on a satellite look up, i bet there is nothing between you and the SKY blocking the signal
