Will Hessenthaler register as a player again? He was about 64 last time he played us...

Sounds a similar thing to what we did 2 years ago when nose diving to non league with Flitcroft who in turn hired DC... turned us around and 2 years on we are a top half league one side. Hopefully it works well for Gills.

Blimey two ex Orient managers ending up there together!

6 and a half years since Hessenthaler was manager under the previous regime.

Jackett I heard stank our place out a bit when we sacked him a year ago, his man management skills aren't the most up to scratch for the modern day game anymore it seems. Heard he ostricized a few players here and lost the dressing room within the 5 weeks we went without a league game. Maybe a switch to DOF will be more up his street now.

Both men I've always thought were good at spotting good players for Leagues One and Two in their times with us.

A shame Kenny wasn't quite able to coach the talent within them like Wellens has been able to do in some ways.

Very pleased with this, Hess has always had a great eye for a player and Jackett brings a wealth of experience and contacts to the club too. Setting things up well behind the scenes is essential to being run well, new owner seems to be wanting to surround himself with good football people.

If nothing else this is good news that we are actually implementing a professional structure to the club, something which has been sorely lacking for years. Our scouting department is a joke, there are National League clubs with a better set up.

Good start for Brad.

Hess junior is one of the 3 players left off the bus at Crawley. Do you think his dad may recommend him?

Wouldn't be the biggest surprise in the world would it, but to be fair I think we're ok for midfielders of his ilk.

It’s been a bit on and off since last night, mostly off this morning

I haven’t been able to access it for a day and a half. Server down constantly.

This is a fantastic offer, pay what you can day vs Crawley on February 4th

CheckFish just replied on Twitter that since the promo went up at 11am we’ve sold over 3,000 tickets. Add in the S/T holders, and the Crawley away fans it’s going to be a decent size crowd for this one

Nice to hear that numerous fans have paid a decent sum or full price.

Yeah it’s been shit but occasionally comes on, a bit annoying as we seem to be having quite the January transfer window!

Who did you support bud as there are no clues from your user name.
You’re being silly again, it’s Gillingham (Dorset).

Still down completely for me. Haven’t been able to access the whole of Vital forum network for over 2 days.

Anyone else?

Pretty much sold out what's available, the club have just released the blocks usually used for the hospitality in the Upper Medway. After that I'd imagine they'd try to open up as much of the BMS as they possibly can safely and just leave Crawley the two end blocks in the GRS which will be more than enough.

Apparently they have given Crawley the BMS, presumably because they have to give them the same deal.
Seems silly though as with the best will in the world I can’t see Crawley bringing 2,000.

Personally I'd be disappointed if we've given them any more than the bare minimum to be honest. A bit of the BMS in the GR corner is OK but I'd love a mostly Gills BMS if we're allowed.

We've been given one corner of the Gordon Road stand and then the bottom 2 blocks of the BMS. Initial allocation of 750 which we won't hit but I expect not to be too far away from that with the extra incentive.

Today just quantifies the horrendous decision our owners have made. Nichols man of the match and within a few weeks he’ll be firing you to safety. That photo of Nichols and Morris after the game makes me want to cry.

That debut by Tom Nichols was superb. He was involved in everything and really linked up well with our new target man Ollie Hawkins. It’s like they’d played together for a few seasons. Add in a good goal and a quality assist, he was excellent. Hope for more of the same.

Glenn was good too, but we’ve known that all season. Deserved his clean sheet. Not too much to do on the day, but he did it all well with minimal fuss.

As for MoTM, Tom was picked in some places. But on some fans sites young Dom Jeffries was the standout. He was also superb and scored a quality goal. Gonna be one heck of a player for us. Only 20 I believe.

How many is it you give away fans in the Gordon Road Stand? Imagine we'll have 300ish for the game next month.
