I had a look at the relegation thread from that season a few months back. Given it was us, Mansfield, Tranmere, Cambridge and Hartlepool in the shit, relegation was the overwhelming preoccupation of this whole subforum. I think someone from another division even described the League Two forum as being just Carlisle and Mansfield fans talking about relegation.

Well no wonder it was, it's not like you were ever going to get fucking Burton Albion fans talking about promotion. How is it that a club with an average attendance of 2000 get's to The Championship and holds their own?

I can't even remember Mansfield being in the relegation battle, but looking at the final table they must have been. All I remember was us, Cheltnum, Tranny and Pools.

Well I think they were mostly above us until the very end, you probably only remember the teams below us which you were certain were set to overhaul us.
