Won 1-0 in Portugal last night in a horribly boring game. We didn't play badly all said and done but Portugal really are shit. CR7 must be thinking his parents should have conceived him a couple of years before so he could have played with the Figos and Rui Costas because he really is the sole quality player in terribly average squad.
Fekir did his cruciate ligament and is out for 6 months (Lyon will be pleased) while Valbuena got the goal, a direct free-kick which we didn't score from in 101 games. 8 years we've been waiting for this. Doesn't feel particularly special.

Hosting Serbia next. Should be easier to score against.

We drew Colombia 1-1, and I'm seeing a lot of complaints about how it wasn't deserved for Peru. Same story at the Copa America where we almost knocked Colombia out. They are complaining about Farfan's penalty. 3 players on him, and one makes a tackle that makes contact with Farfan, not the ball. Farfan didn't dive either, so it WAS a penalty. Not to mention he was on a breakaway. We also completely outplayed them at certain parts of the game, but since I said certain parts of the game, they outplayed us in the others. It was a fair draw. No one deserved to win.

Currently beating Germany 1-0 at half-time. Gomez has missed two sitters. Germany are playing with Rudiger at the back though so we're basically playing against 10 men. Martial tore Ginter a new one on the goal but that's not saying as Ginter is rubbish.

More ruthless than Germans. Never thought I'd see the day.

Too right it should. And I hope Le Marseillaise gets a massive backing from us English (the actual words might be hard work!)

I, too, am happy that the game got the go-ahead.

So Hodgson reckons there will be 6 players under the age of 22 in the England line-up tomorrow, which is weird, because as far as I can tell there aren't that many players under the age of 22 in the squad.

Ryan Mason called up instead - not exactly had a lot of playing time himself in recent weeks due to injury.

And Jesse Lingaard, looks like anyone who does something decent for 30 seconds in a PL game once a season will get called up for England these days. :hypo:

So how is everyone's Marseillaise 24 hours before kick-off?

To arms, citizens,

Form your battalions,

Let’s march, let’s march!

Let an impure blood

Water our furrows!

Someone's going to have to tell me why any English fans would sing it. Respect the minute silence....sing the Anthem? Overdoing it much? Even the French think it's a bit strange.

It doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things but it's a nice gesture.

An unattended suit case. I'm no bomb/terrorist expert but if I was going to try and bomb a stadium, especially after what's happened, I wouldn't use a suit case to hide the bomb.

For those wondering....I'd probably use a 6 year old girl.

I'm guessing that's what the formation is. Very young XI.
