Think thats it then. Need to face up to losing Horsfall, Roberts and McWlliams, and Eppiah back to his parent club and work out how to recruit some quality that can break people down. We wanted to sign Jacobs if we'd gone up, so know we're looking at the right type of player for that at least, and go fornone of the three auto places next year.

TBH I feel sorry for Northampton after missing out on the autos and it would've been great if they had joined us and the pish in L1 for obvious reasons but I was rooting for the Stags last night and I'll be rooting for Vale today. Nowt personal against Swindon and the Cobblers but I reckon it does get a tad boring when it's the usual suspects going up.

Re last nights game, I think the ref had a good game actually as he got most of the big decisions spot on, esp with the two 'big' penalty appeals. The only thing he got wrong IMO was only dishing out a yellow to Wallace for what was a red card offence and I don't think it's fair to blame such a reckless challenge on the 'conditions'. Obviously the same goes for the Pinnock challenge. He should've walked as well.

in the grand scheme of things pal that’s kind of supporter doesn’t represent football or any club, it’s half annoying when a club and their fans get tarred because of a few dicks.

The national press have been all over the incident at forest and northampton the last few nights when clearly it’s not the case and they don’t represent the many.

The fact is sadly we all have that element, and it appears that this kind of behaviour is increasing across the board sadly. Clough was right in his statement when he said it’s carried on from the events last summer in the euros
