See Northampton are embarrassing themselves by lodging a complaint to the EFL.

Hope they’re dumped out nice and early.

Edit: Just seen it wasn’t actually a formal complaint but still.

If you’d been following, you great fucking dunce, you’d see that no we aren’t. But I seem to remember your tongue being lodged firmly in Duchatelet’s arse when he was ripping Charlton apart so you’re probably not the full ticket.

I saw this on Twitter and thought it QI regarding the play off semi finals.

EFL pools all the gate receipts from the 4 games
EFL retains 50%
Each of the 4 clubs receives a 12.5% share of the remaining pot.

Wonder where that money goes then. Knowing the EFL keep that much wish our four clubs had come together and dropped the prices to a fiver or something.

But it costs clubs to put on a match. Can’t believe the EFL would retain 50%. So with the L1 POs tiny Wycombe put fuck all into the pot but Wendies and Sunderland put in loads and they all get the same?

Same in League 2, we’re on course to sell out Sixfields but judging by the season just gone Mansfield will have loads of empty seats in their home end yet they’ll get the same cash as us? Hardly fair

We sold out our last home game and I’d assume we’ll do the same for the playoff game against yourself.

I’d expect it to be split equally for the final but that seems very odd? And EFL taking 50%?

This is where it seems doubly unfair. First of all the EFL getting 50% is a nonsense. And secondly yes when you have 2 clubs drawing 40k plus crowds for both games and the other being around 10k ish, is it fair that all club receive the same amounts?

Good question, I assume so. Given all 4 games are televised I guess each of the play-off contenders in the semis get the same amount? And hopefully the EFL gets nothing.

Does anyone know what the TV money is for these games?

And holistically we are probably going to have the largest attendance in the play-offs and yet are going to have to have the same gate receipts as the other 3 sides.

Granted, it won't be as big a disparity as Sunderland/Wednesday to Wycombe but there you go.

The only reason I can think of the EFL taking 50% is if that money went to the Trust and then got invested in community projects etc. Presume Wembley take a cut of the gate receipts for the final themselves so can’t imagine it all goes to the costs of that for example. Even so that is a rather large amount.

He knows that he just frustrated trying to get in touch with his ticket office to make it 451 tickets sold for Saturday.

To be honest lads you should be grateful for any extra cash finishing 4th-7th in the basement league....

Seems as if the ticket office troubles are annoying people on Twitter again. Lots of people saying they’ve been on the phone for 90 minutes then get cut off when they’re 3rd in the queue.

It isnt as big a deal at this level as all four clubs are similar sized, Northampton and Mansfield obviously will have lower slightly as we have bigger grounds but its not like Wycombe v Sunderland size wise.

If they have a queuing system it’s more advanced than ours where they just let it ring out to an answerphone. Believe our tickets are on sale tomorrow so this should be carnage.

The online site is doing well too.

How hard is it have a decent infrastructure to sell tickets?

Only the away tickets isn't it tomorrow? According to some Swindon fans there will only be 300 of us there so wont have any issues!

Think they've said you have to go up in person which is crap if not local but can only buy 1 per ticket holder (rather than like Exeter when people went up with 10 ST's!)

Not heard yet on the home game ticketing, guess they still working out if giving Swindon 2200 and splitting the rest of the Hamil to throw in a 1500 more home fans is workable?

I’ll assume that was tongue in cheek.

The most likely place for empty seats will be in the away end, though i trust northampton will actually manage to sell out the away end this time?

Good to know it’s not just our ticket system that’s inadequate, on paper sounds good for next season though.

Ours is a complete joke, we do so many things well, but the ground and the ticketing facilities are a joke.

any of the orders reading this and think their online system is a joke i bet we give you a good run for their money.

we’ve got to do something about capacity, whether to find a way to segregate the north stand when we’re getting a decent gate and the away team are brining 50 odd or fill out the corner between the QLE and the WSL, i don’t personally believe doing up the bishop st stand is worth doing over those options.

I think there’s many similarities between us and northampton there, sixfields is nice but it wouldn’t look out of place in the conference, (nor would field mill with our 3 stands) I seem to recall someone saying the idea of expanding it had been explored but not acted on.

Ours is more criminal in that Kevin and Carol own an IT firm! But in fairness they have most other things right. Next season hopefully we will sort ours out.

Never forget selling 2 per ST holder (had 4000 at the time) for Man City and selling all 8000 tickets well before all ST holders had managed to get one!
