Sadly not. I shall have to enjoy the whole thing vicariously through social media and telly. I assume you'll be tuning in to the headlights later? :D

God no. She's awful.
She's far from perfect but she has the experience and actually offers something unlike the other candidates.

Jeremy Corbyn made a bit of an arse of himself on Channel 4 News tonight, IMO.

Why do you think he made an arse of himself ?

Losing his temper at a very tame (albeit good) interviewer in Krishnan? It was a perfectly valid line of questioning and he loses his rag and then continues to throw digs at C4 claiming they're acting like a tabloid.

His actual points I don't really disagree much on but he isn't a great articulator for modern politics and performs poorly in the media. His Question Time performance was equally poor. Put him in-front of someone like Paxman or Andrew O'Neil and he would be mauled.

Fair enough , i think he's very defensive at the moment because he feels he's being patronised and ridiculed by a lot of the media because normally he's articulate and calm . Your right though he is going to have to toughen up if he really wants to be leader .

I like Jeremy Corbyn, but given the way the Tory's and their lackeys in the press went after 'red' Ed, I can see something similar happening again, as well as a similar election result for Labour.

And if he acts like he did on C4 then they'll have all the ammo they'll need. Just made him sound like he didn't have an answer and was trying to avoid it when the answer he eventually gave was a perfectly reasonable one.

Maybe he's starting to worry that he might actually win and is trying to scupper his own chances.

He's spot on about Hamas. They are elected representatives, extreme in reaction the situation of their people. If we deal with the Israeli's and Saudi's with absolute open arms then Hamas should be no issue either. The hypocrisy would be outrageous if it hasn't been so consistent over the generations.

Maybe I be a little too optimistical about politicians, but would someone who's done so much work for so long for his causes suddenly, subtly balk?

Limiting the amount a household can receive in benefits to £20,000 and changing mortgage support from grants to loans seems broadly reasonable. Albeit the fact many people rely on housing benefit in the private sector means there could be some perverse outcomes.

Cuts to disabled people's entitlements seems very harsh.

I can see Corbyn gaining from this. The only of leader candidates to vote against the bill.

Fucking disgraceful behaviour from Harman and her Blue Labour cronies. If you disagree with something then vote against it don't abstain because you want to suck off your Tory voting constituents! Or because you are in fact a Tory in a red fucking tie!

In my opinion they shouldn't be allowed to abstain. They're elected and paid to make these decisions!

I had a rant at the radio when I heard about this earlier on.

My MP isn't on the list.

And Skinner! He was obviously going to be on the list.

Latest poll says Corbyn is the most likely winner.

Tory Bliar is going to stage an intervention today, apparently.

Corbyn not getting a lot of 2nd preference votes though according to the polls. 53% - 47% ahead of Burnham after 2nd prefs.

The Tories appear to have maneuvered Labour into a lose-lose position.

A) Support the benefit cuts and internally the party is divided...

Or

B) Oppose the benefit cuts and the Tories can paint Labour as being spend thrift/economically untrustworthy etc...

Blair laying into Corbyn saying it would take labour backwards etc.

Not sure Corbyn will be overly upset at not garnering the support of Blair.

Beckett has said she was a moron to nominate Corbyn in the first place. I presume she wanted him in the contest so that the left could feel they'd had their voice heard. Bit of a crazy gamble given the Labour base is far more left-wing than the PLP.

Decidedly silly to nominate a candidate in hope that he can do a marionette job of appeasing a potentially very large support base of Labour's, and one that has largely been alienated from them for decades.

I don't think so too. Bliar's criticism of Corbyn will probably have boosted his chances.

Blairs intervention is a huge boost for corbyn . It's been a long time since the party membership has had any respect for the warmongering fraud . I'm still not totally convinced he's going to win but he's already done far better than I could have hoped . Forza corbyn

There's still an element within the Labour Party that respect Blair's opinion, both at Parliamentary and grassroots levels, but none of them are going to have been of a mind to vote Corbyn anyway.

He probably just can't accept his preferred candidate is in last place. The bloke has a seriously inflated sense of his own importance.
