Cube
A load of people get randomly put into a giant cube where some rooms have traps and shit. People die and the effects are generally garbage but the film itself is good fun. Solid 7/10.

Should have stayed untold. 2/10

Really good innit. I was like 'a film about a dude drumming?' - meh but it was probably the best film about a dude drumming you could make and it was cool.

Saw Cube years back and liked the premise of it. The effects are a bit ropey now, but its still worth a watch. Avoid the sequel though, it was dreadful.

I remember watching the sequel a while back. Cube: Zero was the worst one. Absolutely dire.

Evil Dead (2013)

Pretty decent horror film really, can't compare it against the original mind as I haven't seen it! Plenty of gore, your usual pissed off spirit and of course some idiot teenagers. Like it. 8/10

Shuttle (2008)

Caught this a while ago, but I reckon it's one that most on here wouldn't have heard unless you've been a watcher of the Horror channel for a few years! Ok for a low budget B movie Horror film, certainly considering some of the shit/brilliantly bad things they stick on the horror channel.

5/10.

The Three Ameigo's.

Not seen for a while and decided to watch with this 80's film buzz about the forum. I used to enjoy it but felt it weakfish, but fun.

I think on reflection its better than I thought, not a classic, but an enjoyable film which flies by very quickly, but considering the comic talent in the leads its weaker than it should be, is 3 very good lead characters so this should have been in Planes, Trains levels but it isn't which is a shame.

Do yourself a favour and watch the original The Evil Dead. It's fantastic.

I really like it although im partial to a gangster film, what didnt you like about it ?

I am a fan of gangster films too, The Godfather is my favourite film in fact.
It was alright but the way my mate was bigging it up, I was expecting better. The first third seemed a bit disjointed and I did not like how they added in 'fillers' like Crowe's character having a lawsuit over his child (the actual person it is based on has no children) though it obviously got better towards the end held together by some good acting from Washington and Crowe.

Always fancied that. Need to get a proper set of headphones again so I get back to watching all the movies I have there.

BRICK MANSIONS- 2014. (4/10)

After absolutely loving Banlieue 13, when it came about several years ago, thought I'd give this American remake of the original.

Sadly not a patch on it. Paul Walker is Paul Walker,RZA is wooden as the antagonist, just not very good at all.
The best think about the film is David Belle from the original reprising his role, and his parkour scenes.Sadly even his voice is dubbed over as they must have thought his accented English was too strong.

Avoid, and watch the original instead.

I watched Safety Not Guaranteed last night. It's the film that seemingly landed the director the Jurassic World gig, so I had to check it out. And to be fair, it was actually pretty great.

Nothing but gore. Pretty dull film overall. Only giving it a 6/10 due to that poor fella with the glasses who took a serious fucking beating for the entire film.

The Haunting (1958)
One of the best haunted house type horror movies ever made. 9/10.

Fifty Gifts You Can Buy Your Mrs Before You Can Kick The Fuck Out Of Her With Your Cock. Or as it's also known... Fifty Shades of Grey

It's fucking rubbish. All I've learned is, as long as you're a sexy, mega rich bloke you can tap your birds phone, show up unwanted and beat the shit out of her with sticks and shit.

If it was about a middle aged, balding plumber, with a mild learning difficulty and a beer belly from Grimsby then it'd be a complete different scenario. It's totally classist and ultimately wank.

2/10.

My Left Foot.

I first received the disc from Lovefilm weeks ago but have never been in the mood to watch it. Just got round to it this week - thoroughly enjoyed it. I haven't actually seen a lot of DDL films. My Beautiful Launderette and There Will Be Blood might be the only two. Anyway, he was excellent in this. Very impressive.

Odd that your woman who played his Mum won an Oscar but ended up a regular actress on Casualty...

People get stuck in a Pyramid, people die, James Buckley is in it. It's average. 6/10... just about.
