Earlier in the season when we had put a few results together I rocked up to the CG where we were anticipating an easy game at home to Crawley, which would move us towards the play-off picture. We were dire and lost 1-0.

I didn't go on Saturday but after beating Bury at Gigg lane, a home game against Yeovil is pretty much manna from heaven. We concede a last minute equaliser and draw 1-1.

Our patchy home form is killing us again. We have a tricky game in hand away at Newport on Tuesday where the winners probably think they are still in with a play-off shout and for the losers, its season only.

Our away form is generally decent so i'll take stock on Wednesday morning.

Be interesting to see how far up the leagues they can shithouse themselves, but fair play to them they're very good at what they do. Maybe they'll end up like the modern crazy gang or something.

We are very consistent, but can play as well as anyone too.
I think we ought to have unfilled stars on our shirts for when we make it to the Championship?

On Quest TV last night Ian Holloway jokingly said the Cowleys should get a statue right now for their achievements. Is this something we should start to think seriously about !?

I realise it's bad form to build a statue while someone's career is still in progress and the Cowleys are far too modest to accept. But if came to pass where would the statue be situated - outside the ground or in town?

I'm thinking maybe a Mt.Rushmore style affair with Bill Anderson, Graham Taylor, Colin Murphy and the Cowley's all together...

I suppose we could always play the beautiful one touch pass and move and struggle at home and limp in to the play offs wouldnt that be something , i wonder how far FGR would go up the leagues without the vegan money and there beautiful football

Honestly it’s probably the weirdest football forum I have come across, I dunno if it’s the old hardcore that have gone nutty or it’s the new fans that don’t have a clue. All I know is none of em like Mansfield

It was Ian Holloway that mentioned the Cowleys should be getting a statue after how they have transformed Lincoln .

As for vitals, it's more middle of the road and like virtually every other football forum, (though lots hardly get many posts) Lincoln City Banter however is a different beast altogether.

There is a real dislike for us on there, but maybe that’s as we’ve chesterfield and notts county and they’ve only Grimsby, so maybe see us with a higher importance than we deem them. That’s my rationale for it anyway

Either way they’ve done well and learnt from last season - it’s one of the reasons where if we don’t go up I’d keep flitcroft next season - though it would be a very poor return on the budget - but as notts county have proven so well, money doesn’t always get you far

Always been pretty well liked, although it’s probably changing due to a clear ‘we hate mansfield’ tone since Lincoln returned to the FL.

Shame really, especially considering how similar both clubs are really - people get carried away very easily in football.
