Last one for the season. Lincoln lose at Newport, meh who cares. Ok, it affects the play-off battle, but I doubt Lincoln give 2 hoots. The weekend couldn't have gone much better for Bury, who know they are all but promoted. Only 2 heavy defeats in their last 2, enough to take their GD below MK Dons', would see them denied. A point confirms their place in L1 and they have 2 games to do it.
Mansfield and MK Dons both stutter at the finishing line, losing at home to Stevenage and away at Colchester respectively. Now it all comes down to the game next weekend. Mansfield need to not lose, MK Dons must win. What a game that it going to be.
FGR also blew a great chance to get themselves firmly in the automatic race, letting a 3-1 lead slip at mid-table Crewe. They now can only finish 4th or 5th and will, more than likely, face Tranmere. Oh goodie, that should be fun. Tranmere though still have a shot at the top 3. Beat Bury and it's very much on.
Exeter getting their act together at the right time, Bowman also scoring, which is good news as well. Still, the 4 teams below them are all not far off and a defeat at FGR next week opens the door for any of them to jump ahead.
All 4 below them won. Colchester might be able to make the most of Lincoln already being champions, Carlisle are at already relegated Yeovil and Stevenage are at home to poor travellers Cheltenham. All have good chances at winning their final games. Also time to include Newport. They win their game in hand against Oldham in midweek and they'll move into 7th.
So, couple of games to keep an eye on in midweek, then we'll know exactly what's at stake next weekend.
