Massive game coming up at the Ricoh as Coventry v Walsall meet. With our unbeaten home record this season we have every chance of taking the 3 points, that said from the first round of fixtures Walsall were the best side we played so expecting a tough fixture.

How are Walsall coping with the loss of Smith? Still strong enough to challenge without him or will Walsall slide down as the season continues?

We actually improved since O'Driscoll came in IMO, barring yesterdays result which was bizarre and unlike this squad whatsoever. We won games without 2 of our best players and didn't concede for 6 hours or something very impressive like that. If we can put the Rochdale performance behind us and put it down to a one off or just a bad day at the office then I think we will challenge all season.

But if we don't respond right then we might slide, but it is VERY early doors to start thinking we're out of this or could slide just yet. All about the response we have, and personally this squad doesn't look like it lacks fight. However compared to some Walsall fans I am maybe a tad more optimistic than them.

3 very tough games coming up now - Wigan (A), Donny (A) and Posh (H)

Wigan, despite not being particularly exciting this season are well in the play-off race, Donny have improved tenfold since they changed manager and Posh the same. We got 7 points out of the return games earlier in the season against these three, and if we can do that again then I'll be absolutely delighted - but I would also be just as happy to come through the 3 games unbeaten.

Our next game is away at Coventry. Next sat is postponed against posh due to their cup commitment.

Cant wait for the Ricoh. Hopefully we come away with a point. Our toughest game on paper away. Should take a good following.

Interesting, our game with Walsall was rescheduled because of there cup commitments for Tuesday 12th January. So we will be playing Walsall and Burton within 5 days of each other whilst you have a two week break, be interesting to see if it has any effect on the match.

Whichever fucking idiot accepted playing the Coventry game 3 days after a tough cup game at Brentford in the full knowledge we have Bury away a few days later, meaning it's 3 tough away games in a week needs hanging out to dry. Busy Christmas period and now that we also agreed to play Fleetwood away on a Tuesday night from the postponed initial game means we will end up playing 8 or so games this month and then virtually nothing in February.

So strange. I get playing as many games as possible before tensions get higher and we possibly lose players - but honestly, it just beggars belief.

No, tweets about us every so often but that's all we get. He's a Chelsea man really. There's a brilliant documentary of him going to visit our ground in the late 90s, some of our fans hate it because he really takes the piss (we were bottom of the conference at the time, our worst ever placing) but it makes me laugh and feel nostalgic.

We have extended the loan of Bigirimana, close to extending Armstrong's loan 'officially' and are also very close to signing Joe Cole permanently. Based on how brilliant Cole was on Saturday, that would be good news.
