Our failure to invest in January is hitting home hard now. We have looked nothing like a team going for promotion since the 4-0 win at Vale. We really need something from our next 2 games and that will be difficult at home against Barnsley and Wigan.
Relying on young inexperienced players far too much at this stage of the season. We have 2 very good players out on loan in Darius Charles and Matty Palmer which in my opinion should be bought back into the squad to give us more options and the ability to be able to vary how we play.

I think lack of investment was simply down to the chairman wanting to make sure we're alright financially if we don't go up. Virtually the whole squad is out of contract in the summer and we're belt tightening now as it is. I don't think we can spend money on a possible promotion when it will likely cripple us if we fail. Not worth the risk. If we go up, brilliant...but not the end of the world if we don't.

As for Palmer...Hasselbaink ended up dropping him after three heavy defeats. No one our end batted an eyelid and he never looked back. Palmer likes playing for Sheridan and he's the first manager to get the best out of him because Rowett and Jimmy couldn't. If he's happy at Oldham it's utterly pointless bringing him back. Charles has never played for us so I couldn't tell you if he's any good or not.

All this is academic anyway. Cansdell-Sherriff's missus has decided to go on one of our social network retard-fests to tell everyone about a bust up between Shane and Cloughie and how he's disrupted the team. We're easy pickings now, lads. Pray you get us in the play offs :2thumb:

I wonder if she rings in sick for him as well...

Coventry may have lost their way but they have interesting fixtures they could have a big say yet they could stop a play off push or push teams towards the scrap at the bottom some tough fixtures left for all teams left in the mix

Ive said all season that I fancy Millwall to go up one way or another. Looked a really solid unit at BP. I cant believe we turned down Lee Gregory a few years ago because he ''wasn't better than any striker we had at the time'.

Then again this is the same club who didn't sign Jamie Vardy for 30k because we thought it was a high price.

Burton have recalled Matty Palmer.

Set of bastards!
Well that's not very nice

You had him for I believe a total of fourteen games.

Our chances of the Auto's are slowly dwindling although I still think we'll do it.

If it comes down to the playoffs I'm pretty sure we'd blow it

We couldn't even name a full bench on Saturday , what would you expect us to do with a potential £6m at stake ?

Cheers

It was tongue-in-cheek - we'd do the same.

You bastards.

Love the hypocrisy from our supporters on this one. When he went out on loan no one could've given two shits about him. Now they're calling the manager all the c*** under the sun for letting him go :bang:

Sorry mate. Personally I think he'd have been better off at Oldham.

And we have better currently?
Bollocks.
We need matty Palmer. We are running on fumes
Latics will stay up anyway. Got more than enough to do it

I have a sneaky feeling he may be our player next season anyway. He is out of contract this summer, isn't he? He also knows he's extremely well thought of at the club - anyone that gets the "Ooh Roger Palmer" treatment from us lot will always feel loved.

I didn't say we don't need him. I said he'd have been better off at Oldham. Not only does their manager clearly know how to get the best out of a talented player but I've a feeling he doesn't get cries of "bloody rubbish" if he makes a slight error or ironic cheers when he gets substituted, something that happened when Hasselbaink gave him the hook when we got dicked 4-0 at Fleetwood. Short memories, pal. Short memories.

Yeah, he's out of contract along with about three quarters of our squad. I think it's likely he'll sign for you. He deserves it I think. He's been with us a long time now but never nailed down a first team place under Rowett or Hasselbaink so there's clearly something about Sheridan that's clicked with Matt. Possibly reminds him of himself when he was 21?

Gills losing to Walsall was the preferable outcome for us, only 3 points between us and Gills now, after what wasn't a particularly impressive win against Oldham, a win is a win though. Still think the Chesterfield result will be the one that ultimately comes back to haunt us.

Just feeling sorry for myself lol, after being in the top 4 all season, to now where there is a massive possibility we will miss out all together is gutting.

If we win saturday and barnsley lose every thing will be rosey again lol

Just seen your form over the last 10 games and it isn't good. Your run-in doesn't look great as well, I see the reason behind your negative thinking.
