Updated plans for our stadium are going to be announced imminently and the building work will start in 2021. Exciting times.

Not expecting it to be ready before 2023-24 however.

Unfortunately the council allowing Aldi to build another store 800m away, only 2.5 miles from another one of their locations has caused the proposed tenant of the supermarket next to the ground to pull out, leaving a many million £ black hole to fill. The club lost their appeal in the High Court this week.

cant see prm being "the first name on the teamsheet" anymore...
we seem better at keeping hold of the ball without him...

Oakey......you still carrying that around all this time.

He just needs a rest. He has been sloppy. So has Rea - who was my MOM last night btw. I love the guy.

In time heroes that have come up with us will be replaced. Pelly and Berry have made that step from the bottom up, and each time adjusted really well, but perhaps slowly. Pelly does still give the ball away at times but he also has that turn of pace and vision to drive through the opposition that nobody else in our squad has. Agree hes not first name on the sheet atm but dont write him off. Hes a focused and determined bugger.

Totally agree with this. Started the season pretty well but as the games have piled up his touch has left him a bit and hes fallen off somewhat. Hes very important for games as he is probably our only midfield player who is happy to pick up and drive with the ball from deep positions and get us up the pitch. Hes also capable of putting some properly good through passes in behind for Cornick et al to get on.

I think he will probably start at Swansea, we will probably sit fairly deep and look to get on the counter as we did in the win there last season, his legs in midfield should suit that sort of game especially as we probably tired ourselves with the high pressing we put on Norwich.

Some news on the new stadium from last night was interesting i thought. Seems we are needing to submit some revised plans as the impact of COVID is being felt. Sounds like plans are having to be scaled back a bit, some of the retail offering is being scaled back given that sectors own issues and new designs being worked on for public release perhaps next week.

Apparently according to GS we will be needed to support the plans again in some fashion which he doesnt go into detail on, which concerns me as it seems like another potential opportunity for nefarious influence to take place but he does seem pretty confident all will be approved in the spring which is positive. As we already have the approval i assume it is easier to change things.

Target is to get building in 2022 and be in the new stadium for 2024 which feels like a fair old time away given current goings on in the world!

That said, the delays were a blessing in a disguise - we could be well underway with building work right now on a project that could've become totally unviable.

Did any of you go to the game last night?

If so how was the experience.

Norwich manager seemed to blame the ref's performance on that fact there were fans!

We’ve made light of #teamslikeluton but Farke’s press conference was the whiniest all season - they go top of the moaning league table. You lost to a better side; I know it was difficult for a so called bigger team to accept that - and it is 3 defeats on the spin against us.

Im surprised that Norwich haven’t gone full Trump as of yet to only count “legal goals”.

Luton are now also 18 games unbeaten at home on evening kickoffs, dating back 35 months now.

I see there is talk that the council have turned down our proposed training facility that would have meant we were able to become a category 2 academy. Granted planning permission but refused to lease us the ground where it would sit (or something if nature) which is somewhat baffling as seemed a well supported proposal in the community even from local schools who im sure would love to use the facilities we would be building.

Bit nervy about some of the other proposals going to the council in March, different people seem to be involved there now who are not as helpful as those who have come before them.

It has been confirmed. And is completely illogical.

Catching up with old timer, thought I'd get that in first ! Well you are becoming an established Championship team and good on you. The transition up from league 1 is massive and already it looks like Wycombe will be re-joining us and a fair chance the Millers. That very nice Mr Barton has departed and it will be interesting to see who comes in. Our academy coach Simon Wiles is interim manager and he has done a sterling young with the young players, we'll wait and see
Happy New Year mate and finish the season strong

Looks absolutely brilliant. Has there been any word on the details of the design changes that have been talked about yet?
Not yet. Would expect more will come clear in the next few days or so. Looks like the river will still be brought out from underground but in more residential areas and an increase in the number of flats. The music venue hopefully remains but I’m sceptical. Looks like the food store has been canned totally.

In three and a half years we will be playing at Power Court.

A big step up today against Brentford. Not the result we wanted and still some work to do in front of goal, but such a clear improvement on last season again!

We are struggling badly up front......Too much reliance on Collo who is buckling under the continual pressure. Im beginning to (.... errr have already given up?) despair Harry is ever gonna cut it. He has zero composure. If its not got an instictive instant finish and it needs a thought process he really goes to pieces. He needs a pro councillor as he could go sooo far.

Hylton is just done for all his amazing service. Has Lua Lua ever delivered as a starter? Amazing sub tho more often than not. Collo. The old saying springs to mind from the Vinny Jones quote of 'he can trap it further than i can kick it.' But hes be amazing for us. Nombe young and raw do e nothing yet but its wayyy too early to see anything tbh

Why did we splurge 1.5M on a keeper who for me is equal/slightly worse than we already had..,.... Get us a striker and we can consolidate and move forward.
