The Infinity Gauntlet is on Asgard, was seen in the first Thor film. So Thanos has invaded Asgard and we probably won't get to see any of it.

Age of ultron feels like survivor series. You know it's an A PPV but there's too many inconsistencies and flat moments that it feels like a B PPV. Sure it has a nice main event but does that make up for the badly booked opener or the piss break divas match in the middle. Thank god for the well written comedy sketch or I'd be cancelling my subscription. A good effort but doesn't quite hit the mark. Cena won.

I think people are expecting way too much from Marvel at the moment. Of the films they've done, the only truly excellent films were Iron Man ,GOTG, the Avengers and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Iron Man 2 and 3, Captain America TFA, Thor x 2, the 2nd Hulk movie. Far more acceptable to awful films than really good ones. Like the Dark Knight rises found after the Dark Knight did so well, the Avengers 2 was never going to surpass the original. A slight step back is good for the franchise I think ahead of Civil War and the Infinity War films.

Going to watch the film tomorrow, can't wait.

Yeah, those four you mentioned (Avengers, Iron Man, GOTG and The Winter Soldier are still the top four Marvel films for me... I'd probably have AOU sat in 5th place. Though actually... I rewatched Thor: The Dark World just before going to see Avengers, and I have to say, I do think that it's probably the most under rated Marvel film of the lot. I actually think it's really good, despite having a pretty shit villain. In fact, fuck it, lets rank the lot of it:

Avengers
Guardians of the Galaxy
Captain America The Winter Soldier
Iron Man
Avengers Age of Ultron
Thor The Dark World
The Incredible Hulk/Hulk whichever one isn't that shit one from before, I never remember which is which.
Iron Man 3
Captain America: The First Avenger
Thor
Iron Man 2

And to be fair, I can even happily rewatch Iron Man 2, so I don't really think I dislike any so far. In fact, from the Dark World upwards, I'd say I love those movies... so there are more there that I love than not. And this being said, I still really like Hulk and Iron Man 3.

 Brilliant, and pretty accurate. If you replace "divas match in the middle" with shoehorned as fuck relationship that makes no sense, that's spot on.

Nope, sorry. After the decent effort Favreau made with the first Iron Man, there is zero excuse for the dogshit sequels. How can you like Iron Man 3? It was on really shaky ground even before they utterly ruined one of the best villains in comic book history. Can you imagine what would have happened if Nolan had done something similar to the Joker? Or Superman and Zod?

I'd have Iron Man 3 at the bottom of the pile, man what a steaming pile of crap that was. Least Iron Man 2 had a villain that was what he said he was, War Machine and Natasha Romanoff. Not sure what the first Thor did to deserve to be so low. Was it really worse than Iron Man 3? Really?

My list would be: Avengers, GOTG, CA: TWS, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Thor 2, Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3. Not ranking the 2nd Hulk movie(The Incredible Hulk btw, Hulk was the really bad first attempt with Eric Bana) as its barely part of the MCU anyway.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
I thought the Mandarin twist was great in IM3.

Trust me, after i first saw Iron Man 3 I hated it... I was looking forward to seeing Iron Man go up against his main villain and the trailers made The Mandarin look awesome. Then he was an actor...

However, after rewatching it taking the film for what it is, as opposed to what I wanted it to be, I actually quite liked it.

I'd only go to see those Avengers shite if I wanted to sleep, the whole lot of them are tiresome rubbish. Apparently they are going till 2028 as well or until one of them truly bombs at the box office.

By the way, fellow Marvel fanboys. You can get a free month of Marvel Unlimited at the moment...

http://marvel.com/starwars?utm_sour...content=042415_StartNow&utm_campaign=StarWars

I've never used it myself, but I'm willing to check it out for free. Need to use the code "Star Wars" for the free month. Also, it probably does the auto renewal thing, so keep an eye on the date so you can cancel before you pay again if you don't want to keep it...

Saw it last night. It was enjoyable, as Marvel films usually are, but didn't quite capture the brilliance of the first one and was a little bit messy. I don't know about anyone else, but I just felt like there were too many main characters and, as such, the plot really suffered because of it.

Can't help but think the Infinity Wars will also face the same problem, with the GOTG presumably being involved too.

It'll feel like typical Bendis issue of Avengers/X-Men/GotG around the #12.

Was watching the Guardian Film Show at that time and usually have 1FF open as well so it was natural to post here after that.

I've seen countless films like those before and they are all derivative and dull with absolutely no tension whatsoever. I'm not paying £8.50 for that, I'd rather watch Pokemon or something! :D

A mate of mine who was about 25 at the time that film came out, went to see it at the pictures by himself, he was the only adult there :D

Sounds like a cool dude.

I had a mate who did something like that a couple years back. GAME did one of those things where they do "event pokemon", where you can bring your DS/3DS or whatever to GAME and get a rare pokemon... he was like 23 at the time and the next oldest person there must have been about 12.

Yeah, saw that yesterday... I was actually hoping that they'd keep Tony Stark as the main sort of "villian" (or Cap, if you're on the other side...)... this just looks like they'll go down the whole "they start off as enemies then a villian brings them together" type thing.

But he was never a "villain" really. Depends who's side you're on. Yeah, that's similar to what they'll be doing in BvS.

Saw it last night and really enjoyed it. Much better than the 1st one imo. Nice bit of character development on Hawkeye too. Shame there was no mention of Black Panther though.

Loving the ending too. All we needed was Cap to spray his costume black and Wonder Man to be intorduced and we'd almost have the WC Avengers! And then we could have the infamous "Wanda going down on Simon" scene!!

I also went to see it yesterday. Really enjoyed it. Only gripe for me was they seemed to not include Falcon in the big fight scene, but otherwise I loved it. Shame Joss Wheadon isn't returning to direct the next two, but I'm glad they've established through Thor that they're fighting for Infinity stones, and dropped enough hints to split Cap & Tony Stark

As i said in the other thread, i thought it was one of the weakest Marvel movies. Seems i'm finally getting tired of the repetition.

Guardians of the Galaxy was the best, by far. The Avengers was great, so was Iron Man, The Winter Soldier and Thor to a lesser extent. Captain America was okay at best whilst the Thor and Iron Man sequels are shit. Norton's Hulk was decent but i'm loving Mark Ruffalo's desperation in the role. I would go with:

Guardians of the Galaxy
The Avengers
Iron Man
The Winter Soldier
Thor
Age of Ultron
Captain America
Thor 2
Iron Man 2
Iron Man 3
