You must be out of the FA Cup then.
Still in the EFL cup.....Dont think many teams will be in the fa cup shortly so i would say play those........get rid of the EFL Cup if it helps
void or ppg will NOT effect our season

Wimbledon were one of many happy to void the season when we (Sunderland) were one point off play offs and a few away from the autos so they get no sympathy from me as does any of the teams happy to void the season (Tranmere were the ones royally screwed that year and Peterborough). Also they got a point at the SOL last year when covid spread and 8 of our players went down with it on the day of the game and that should never have went ahead.
As a Wimbledon supporter I generally agree with what you have said .I didn't think at the time that PPG was a satisfactory way to end the season. It was extremely harsh on Tranmere and quite possibly saved us from relegation. As for the game at your place obviously the EFL make the rules up.As we all know the EFL are clueless at the best of time's.Hopefully the season won't be decided on PPG I guess it depends on the amount of game's called off in Jan and Feb.

Was it you were bad or us very good? I don't think we let you play from the off but we weren't very clinical, especially in the first half. The irony of our 1st goal was that it was one of the few times in the 1st half that you were on the attack and we then hit you on the break.

You were very good to be honest. It could've been more than 3.I don't think the 17 day break has done us any favours.

PuB's posts are tongue in cheek I know, but I think it's 70% of games played until PPG can be voted on/used.

Can't work out whether it's new positives or the the players who could have been back with the now shortened 7-day isolation periods are still testing positive.

I know they are, and I am pretty sure you are right about 70%. The thing that worries me is the lack of wriggle room to extend the season with it starting in July because of Qatar.

EFL have removed match day testing now so avoid last minute postponements.

I think we all need to accept we have to live with it and carry on. Those that decide not to get vaccinated or have boosters need to accept they put their own lives at risk as the rest off society stops holding its breath. The stark truth is we can’t afford to keep pausing as the financial consequences will be far more harmful.

Yes fair point.

COVID won’t just go away and there might be continuous variants which need to be controlled but not everything stop each time .

The good news about the variants is that they are increasingly more mild (still dangerous and still causing deaths) but heading in to a lesser form. Assuming any future (big assumption I know) mutations come from omicron they *should* continue in the increasingly mild pattern.

It’s interesting to note that Spanish flu which killed 20 million worldwide is still around now, but you’re only likely to get a runny nose for a day or so. It’s not a virus’s job to get increasingly more dangerous but just to infect as many people as possible.

So yes, in a sense we all need to learn to live with it but the science has to back it up too and we’re not quite there yet.
