Here we go then, quite a few of us in this division, eh? Us and Wigan coming down, Fleetwood bottling it, Rochdale, Bury and Oldham (are those 3 really Lancashire?) maintaining their League One status and possibly Blackpool coming up. Surely we'll be at the right end of the full table, no doubt we'll lose to everyone around us geographically :ffs:

I'm a Lanc until some tosser has a pop at the North, then I'm a Northerner.
If some tosser has a pop at my country then I'm English..
If some tosser has a pop at the Uk I'm, British.
If some tosser has a pop at Europe I'm still bloody British!!!

Lancashire not Greater Manchester. A tag that has plagued Bury, Oldham and Rochdale for years.

Although out of the three, I've always felt Bury is the most Lancashire compared to Rochdale and Oldham, Oldham especially seems more Manc than us.

Bury home of the Lancashire Fusilliers don't forget. And we get "Lancashire living" magazines posted through our doors in Bury :bg:

Oldham are my dark horses for the playoffs next season, until Saint Shez sacks them off AGAIN.

If Bradford don't get promoted this season then it's gonna be 7 on 3 in the clash of the roses but i still fancy white rose to come out on top next season, we might have to carry Bradford and Donny a bit on our shoulders though.

It could be a fun season ahead for you Reaper, stuck with your old pal Hooped Wizard in the Yorkshire thread. Don't worry, you're always welcome here. :D

Do not underestimate Fleetwood as many have discovered this season.

Fleetwood will be there or thereabouts next season IF they keep Rosler or get a decent replacement (i.e. not Pressley, Saunders, Westley, etc).
Wigan will be 17th next season if they give the job to Graham Barrow, but will be a reasonable shout with a proper replacement.
Oldham will be OK with Sheridan, not troubling either end of the table too much. Will Corney (chairman) keep going or sell up, though?
Bury's fate depends on the Chur's financial ball juggling skills, but they've got some good players and particularly good young lads coming through. Midtable.
Agree with whoever said Blackburn could drop straight through - they're in a mess.
If Blackpool get up, they'll probably struggle, due to the poisonous Oyston factor.
Dale will finish between 7th and 10th, as usual...:2thumb:

Our record against the 4 Lancashire team this season was shite. Just 1 win ( courtesy of a quality og from an Oldham defender, 5 goals scored, 10 conceded, and 6 points from a possible 12. Perish the thought with even more derbies in the calendar for next year !

What's your usual away allocation? I know whatever it is we'll sell it but I've heard it's 600 which is lower than I thought.

Bradford were given around 700, Bolton received 1200ish when they came, I would be interested to hear from the club down the line how the allocations are agreed upon, suffice to say you will easily fill your quota and it should be a sell out game- unlike the one at Ewood eh !

Same could have been said of Tranmere and Leyton Orient in recent years. Both been relegated to the National League since.

If we keep hold of Mowbray, Mulgrew, Graham and co we'll go straight back up.

Obviously anything can happen but if we keep a few of our best players this season (tough ask like ) we'll definitely come top 6. Mowbray's meeting the owners to discuss transfer funds in the next week so if Venky's pull their fingers out and care for 'their baby' then...

You may well be right but you're underestimating this league somewhat. It's a fucking arsehole to get out off for the most part. Just ask the likes of Sheff weds, Sheff Utd, Leeds, Nottingham Forest etc.

The Venky's show absolutely no interest in your club despite being owners, why would that change now?

For each one of them there's a Bolton, Wigan, Wolves, Doncaster...all gone straight back up. Could go either way, wouldn't be shocked if we finished in our worst ever position if investment isn't forthcoming.

Statement released the other day: "The Owners of Blackburn Rovers wish to place on record their appreciation for the work of manager Tony Mowbray since his arrival at the club, during which time both the performances of the team and results have improved significantly. Going forward he will continue to have our full support.

Despite the courageous performance by the players and the victory at Brentford yesterday, results elsewhere led to the relegation of the club from the Championship. This is indeed a very sad situation and we are deeply hurt by these events. We share the same feelings as our supporters.

Notwithstanding this temporary setback, we are confident that the collective efforts of the team, under Tony’s leadership, will enable the club to achieve promotion back to the Championship next season.

The Owners and everyone at the club recognise and appreciate the solid backing of the supporters and thank them for this. We believe that such strong support will set us in good stead for the season ahead.

We have all witnessed the events of recent years, where teams have been relegated but have turned their clubs around and emerged stronger, and we are determined to see Blackburn Rovers do the same.

Work has already begun to make this happen and we will be making every effort during the forthcoming season to give ourselves the best chance to achieve this goal."

While it is likely they had nothing to do with that statement and it could have been written by board members in the UK, but they could turn it around. Last time we were relegated they invested - just in shite players looking for their last pay cheque (Leon Best, Danny Murphy, Bradley Orr etc.). Obviously Rhodes was the exception.

None of those clubs are run as poorly as you, us, Blackpool or Coventry. Blackpool and Coventry are now in L2 and we flirted with it.

Our owners came out with a similar statement last season, turned out to be utter bollocks.

"results elsewhere led to the relegation of the club", here's me thinking where you finish at the end of the season is where you deserve based on the 46 games, in Blackburn's case = Relegated.
