Hope we're in for him just to piss off Blackburn fans off, don't even know if he's any good.

strong rumours we were interested in him the other month.
If we were in for a Preston player I wouldn't care one bit. In fact it would show how far we've fallen under Venky's. Small club mentality from the big club that never was.

Apparently Blackpool took only 6K to Wembley, which probably means that Bloomfield Road will be at least 3/4 empty for most of next season.

You'd be upset at signing a player from a far superior squad? Interesting.

Looking forward to going to Blackburn away this season. Been to Ewood park once and the memory is rather hazy. Pretty sure you guys were playing West Ham and you won 4-2 with Shearer getting three of 'em. Only thing I remember is that it was rather foggy on the drive there.

'upset'. Interesting, I don't remember using that word myself.

Loving this league next season geography wise, about 13 away trips next season in space of 1hr 30 min travel. Bradford have got it really lucky though.

Where do PNE stand in the disliking Rovers stakes?

Why
Bit of a Lancanshire mini league then..

And the likes of Wigan and Blackburn will probably have more fans at the away game!

Why would Wigan have more fans at the away games?

Blackpool will probably average 2k fans next season, us and Blackburn will both probably take 3k there. You do the Maths.

Thought you were referring to all the Lancashire sides.

Yes I'm really counting my blessings at trips to Bury and Wigan...

Blackburn should be a decent one, never been personally.

Some PNE fans (mainly ones in their 30's and remember them buying their way up the leagues and the gloating that came with it) can't stand them.

Some, like me don't really dislike the club itself, just can't abide their arrogant fans, particularly the plastic ones who only followed them in the Prem. Still don't think they realise they're now a third tier club and the good old days are long gone.

Think I have a similar problem with Wigan, I remember when they were more like Macc Town before Whelan turned up with his millions. I suppose Blackburn are a more extreme version of that.

To be fair, Blackburn have always been a fairly large club, same size as us. Yes, they had some plastic fans but the same could be said of all clubs who have lean then good times. They're still a bunch of 6 fingered wankers though :)

Discounted season tickets at Blackpool again for the 6th or 7th consecutive season, off the back of a promotion.

When will the nightmare end?

Nice trolling Nobber. Obviously still bitter than we took more fans to Wembley than you for a League One play off final.

You just concentrate on improving your 10k home fans as that's pretty dire for a supposed 'big city'.

So I'm looking at the transfer business done so far and it seems like Bury are trying to buy promotion. I fancy them to go pop if they aren't careful, they can't sustain the squad they have on gates of less than 4k. Take a leaf out of Rochdale's book, get a proper manager and put faith in the youth.

We have a very successful youth academy, and put more faith into it than Rochdale. 3 youth players in the first team and we've made well over £1M in youth player transfers over the last 12 months. Again, do some research before making ignorant statements.

How easy is it to 'get a proper manager' too? They don't come cheap, nor are they readily available.

Of course this is Bury, the club seemingly not allowed to sign league one standard players :ffs:

Blackpool fans talking about crowds :fl:

Who gives a fuck how many day trippers turn up at Wembley? they don't go to home games, we've taken 35k to one before, means nothing.

Only 5k bothered to go last weekend...

You've averaged more fans than us in about 4 seasons in the last 30 years, each time when you were in a league above us and giving away season tickets for about £200. Imagine if you had to pay £400+ like us, you'd have to shut down your candy floss stand.

Normality has resumed.

This isn't Kurt crawling out of the woodwork after a promotion is it?

He'll be whacking out the Gary Bowyer masks if they're in the running again this year.

Nobber just deal with the fact you are punching above your weight and are small time. Forgot our boycotted figure last week, this was an equivalent League One Play Off Final in recent times:

You should be in the League Two forum chatting with the Morecambe folk but Grayson has done well to be fair.

Ha, the delusion of your fans never ceases to amaze me, that was the first thing you had to shout about for 27 years, while a League One play-off final was nothing more than a chore for us. Why have you just shown a zoomed in picture of the bottom tier? when there were fans in the top tier and down the sides? So desperate.

Bragging over the amount of day trippers at a 3rd tier Wembley visit .

14 seasons in the Championship since the Millenium, 9 of them finishing in the top half. We're punching pretty well.

Hopefully when this boycott is over you can get back to your usual sub 6k crowds in League One.

Just to add a neutrals perspective, I've always seen Preston as a bigger club than Blackpool. Not that anyone really gives a shit, no offense.

Not that it's done us any favours but you've never been in the Premier League. We take 5-6k to your place without fail and yet you only just sold out 1950 tickets at our place. Maybe you didn't fancy getting your hair wet?

Not saying we are big but Preston need bringing down a peg or two now and then.

You're the one firing off jibes about crowds even though we've consistently pissed on yours since i've been alive.

I don't really know what 'only just' selling out means to be honest, we sold out, nothing more we can do regardless of how quick the tickets flew off the shelves. You brought good followings when you finally reached the Championship but there were plenty of poor showings in the 90's, so I don't know about 'never fail', you brought 4,400 in the last fixture too (all be it a Monday night cup game, so i'll let you off.)

You're right though, we've never been in the Prem but we're in a nice position to have a crack at that top 6 again, although like your promotion, it would be another minor miracle.

Newsflash: both Preston and Blackpool were big guns in the top flight in ye olden days. Amazingly, there was football before the creation of that abomination, the premiershit :ffs:
