So i was thinking we could have an over 40's section to keep all the kids out where we could talk about stuff that only over 40's could really be interested in so i'll kick off.

Anybody like Time Team?

Over 40's stuff? That sounds "horrifying" to me, Johnny ;)

I would fit in that category but on the other side I always hear the banter from HER "You Kid, grow up!"

I'd assumed that all the over 40s (certainly the over 50s) on here, apart from your good self, were just shadow accounts created by kindly kids to make it more comfortable for a rambling wrinklie who wandered in whilst looking for a bag of Werther's and a bottle of Mackeson.

Nah, there's more chance of you posting in the David "on course to beat Derby's record" Moyes thread you created.

I've still got my ticket stub from the 1969 League Cup Final where we trounced Arsenal 3-1

5 shillings (25p)

Don't forget Weeeeed, she always assumed "it was Ben, it was Ben" I still watch repeats of the time team, fascinating programme that is and Robinson can always come up with 'a cunning plan'

The next stage up from the 40's club.

Perks of reaching 60 or being over 70 and heading towards 80!
1.
Kidnappers are not very interested in you.
2. In a hostage situation you are likely to be released first.
3. No one expects you to run--anywhere.
4. People call at 8 PM and ask, "Did I wake you?"
5. People no longer view you as a hypochondriac.
6. There is nothing left to learn the hard way.
7. Things you buy now won't wear out.
8. You can eat supper at 5 PM .
9. You can live without sex but not your glasses.
10. Your supply of brain cells is finally down to manageable size.
11. You can't remember who sent you this list.
12. And you notice these are all in Big Print for your convenience.

The next stage up from the 40's club.........

Nirvana awaits those who can stay the course -

1.
Kidnappers are not very interested in you - nor are fashion gurus, doctors or policemen.
2. In a hostage situation you are likely to be released first - because you keep banging on about Morecambe or Wycombe's time wasting.
3. No one expects you to run--anywhere. - so there's an opening for you in Man Ure's forward line.
4. People call at 8 PM and ask, "Did I wake you?" - and the lady on the other side of the bed answers and says "No!"
5. People no longer view you as a hypochondriac. - just a drama queen.
6. There is nothing left to learn the hard way. - but plenty to learn.
7. Things you buy now won't wear out. - provided they're not from the Flook swim wear range or Errea's Home Kit offers.
8. You can eat supper at 5 PM . - and have curry and chips at 11.30 as you leave the pub at a sensible time.
9. You can live without sex but not your glasses. - without a wage packet but not contempt for the bosses..
10. Your supply of brain cells is finally down to manageable size. - and they still can't see why ............
11. You can't remember who sent you this list. - but you know they want to sell you life insurance..
12. And you notice these are all in Big Print for your convenience. - and they've got the grammar and spelling wrong.

Watching music when it was music, not the reality produced pap they come out with these days. I am referring to TOTP from 1982, when I was 18. A lot of that isn't great, but still better than the current crop of shite.
