Many years ago I had a stint at stopping smoking ciggies and tried 5 cigars a day instead. Ended up after a few weeks on as many cigars per day as fags. That didn't last long.

Id like to black ball Salty for not having his own mind and following the crowd by supporting Liverpool.

At 40 you need to make ur own decisions and not accept what you see and read is gospel.

Please ban him from the thread mods.

Merry Xmas.

Feeling a bit sore about it today tbh but I made a promise that afterwards I'm going to enjoy my 40's more than I did my 30's which overall were pretty shit. :)

I remember playing 'Pong' in the late 70's so guess that qualifies me as over 40. I just downloaded football pong to my mobile and it's great. Took me a while to put two and two together and understand why China and Ethiopea were rated higher than England until I realised they were table tennis rankings and not football. Age does that to ya.

Can second that. My missus brought over a box of 50 cigars from Nijmegen when she moved here. Big, fat cigars.
Found myself chain smoking them after a while. Never felt so bloody ill from smoking.

Watching music when it was music, not the reality produced pap they come out with these days. I am referring to TOTP from 1982, when I was 18. A lot of that isn't great, but still better than the current crop of shite.

Was watching a TOTP repeat from December 9th 1982 just earlier this morning. Amongst the artists on show were The Jam, Shakin' Stevens, Yazoo, Shalamar, Lionel Richie and Blancmange.
Was a blast from the past and some quite cringeworthy, but you're right, I prefer music from that decade to almost all of the stuff out these days.

Used to love this. There's something I find really funny about adults dressed as animals trying to undertake hazardous tasks. Bring it back I say, minus Hall of course who as well as being undesired is unavailable
