We haven’t won at home in more than three months, we are surely due to win one. Please can today be that day.

Ready for a cracking atmosphere at Fratton today. Did I hear a figure of 2000+ Charlton fans coming down?

Even with a win I think we’re still gonna struggle to make the playoffs at this point, so we might as well just go for it and hope others slip. It’s been a really positive season regardless.

Yep. 2,500 sold out. Should be a cracking atmosphere.

Yeah fully deserved, you took the roof off of the Milton End too. Best away fans I’ve seen a long while, fair doos!

I’ll be leaving this thread now.

Yeah we paid the price for an awful first half yesterday and Charlton deserved the win. That's us out of it now but we should be stronger next season.

We’ve gone, season has finally caught up with us. On Saturday v Bury Of the team that had that played in the 15 game unbeaten start to the season we had the following out with injury Ogogo and Brown (rest of season) Nolan, Whalley, Payne. Add to that Toto Nsiala is playing with his fractured cheek bone but not with the same conviction and Rodman looked knackered and was subbed on the hour. We couldn’t string a pass together 2nd half and if there was going to be any winner it was Bury.

I hope Bury stick with Ryan Lowe , he has got them playing again.

I can’t see us even getting past the playoff semifinal which is a shame after a great season.

With Ryan Taylor in the side we scored in 19 out of 20 games. 2 games he’s been out we haven’t scored and we haven’t even created anything.

He may not score all our goals (or many of them even) but he’s so key to the way we play bringing Carey and Lameiras into it. He didn’t train all week so he’s unlikely be back for Tuesdays game at Rochdale.

Another injury yesterday to Paton, really starting to undo us now.

Take a point at Rochdale on Tuesday and then we need to win at home to Rotherham (hopefully Taylor could have a chance of returning for that one) and definitely need to win at Scunthorpe. That would take it into a very interesting last day.

Can't see past Charlton for the playoffs, unlucky from Shrews a good effort but predictably run out of steam against the 2 big money teams.

I fully expect Posh to get 3 points tomorrow to spice up the playoff race. We will be resting the heartbeat of our squad again tomorrow as we did Saturday, but I think we will have a stronger lineup for the last 2 games in the build up for the playoffs.

Typical. I start the thread and two defeats later we're out of it.

Oh well, as said by others this has been a pretty solid season overall. Jackett upset a few fans by freezing out many of last season's heroes, but with the average age of the team being in the 30s he had to do something. The average age is now approx. 23 and so we should only go from strength to strength next season.

Good luck to the teams left in it. The Shrews deserve it most, but we all know football isn't fair. I'd probably go for Charlton to nick it.

Big game for us tonight at Rochdale. They'll be without Henderson and we'll almost certainly be without Taylor.

We need 4 points from tonight and Saturday to take us into the massive Scunthorpe game in a week.

We are massively going to bottle the play-offs after hitting a very untimely bad patch of form + injuries and suspensions. Such a shame out excellent season will end that way but it's so predictable...

Bloody frustrating taking the lead and then throwing it away straight from kick off. Classic Argyle.

Must win on Saturday and then a 6 pointer vs Scunthorpe. Scunny game next Tuesday is on Sky so we’ll probably lose.

Well it's all in our hands somehow. After that horrific run of form I could never have imagined that we would hold the cards going into the final few games. That game against Plymouth next Tuesday is going to be huge.

Yep me too - At 1-0 down I feared our season petering out with barely a whimper, but 2nd half we were right back on it, and looked like the side from earlier in the season that was playing with confidence, pace and power. Lets hope we can keep this form for the PO's as we're gonna need it!

What another great win, what the fuck was Karl Robinson doing with this side ffs. Hanging on towards the end there though.

Bloody hell, down to the last day it goes.

Tuesday night is gonna be such a huge game. A draw would be a very good result for us really. Can see Plymouth really taking the game to us.

We will do our best but I can't see it. Will be a nervy game from both sides, probs be 0-0 or 1-0 either way.

Boy we were lucky. We need to be lucky for the next two games, but not very confident. Do not think we won a ball in the air until the last ten minutes, when Bradley played centre forward and surprisingly it worked and probably was the difference. Without Taylor our whole approach just doesn’t not work -we kept playing head tennis and never won a ball. If it does not work a handful of times, why keep on doing it. For the brief times we kept it on the floor, however, we did look good, just did not do that enough. Nasty looking injury to Ness in the last minute when he and Threlkeld ran into each other. will we actually have eleven players on Tuesday? the good news is we will finish at least seventh which is amazing and way above what I hope for at the beginning of the season.

I always feel the officials are a team, not just the ref, and this was the best teams of officials I have seen this year.

Jamie Ness, who's been an absolute revelation since January, now confirmed missing the rest of the season. 3 of our 4 centre mids injured (not good when our formation includes 3x cm).

Playoffs looking less and less likely by the minute at this rate. Small squad problems!

Well at least we don’t have small hand problems like Donald Trump.

But as you say it would be close to a miracle if we get to the play offs, but I don’t really mind seventh is way higher than I ever expected. Our bench for the last two games will be threadbare and full of untested kids.

So we have 2 European giants on Sky tonight and then also Madrid vs Munich on BT.

In all seriousness though I can't see tonight's game being an entertaining one to watch.

With our depleted side Adams will try and piss boil the game dead and see if we can spawn a goal from somewhere. Perhaps a magic moment for Carey to shine on the big screen.
