A defeat for either side would be terrible and really the end of the run so I can see tonight being a very defensive one. It will be 0-0 or 1-0 either way with a Carey or Morris screamer.

Surely you both have to go and try and win it though? Anything less than a win for either of you and you HAVE to win at the weekend.

If we win on Saturday, there will only be room for one of you so would have thought both sides would want to get their heads in front.

P.s. Please win.

I suspect you are right. You have to assume that both sides do not want to lose, and Adams will hope that we nick one from a dead ball situation. 94th minute penalty anyone put away by Carey anyone?

I think the issue for us is what formation and style will we play? I can pretty much guess the eleven, but given he is pretty much choosing the only eleven senior players fit, I am not sure how they will line up. I am sure Remi Matthews will be in goal, but all the other players could be in slightly different positions/roles than what they played on Saturday.

If we draw we only need a draw at the weekend due to our goal difference. Unless Plymouth beat GIllingham like 8-0.

Yep, thought you were only a point ahead of them. Fair enough.

P.s. Please win.

Yeah please win Scunny, want you to come up for the sole reason that I missed our game at Glanford Park this season.

Yep if tonight ends a stalemate, our best hope is for Rochdale to beat Charlton and us to beat Gills on the last day.

Can't see Scunny not getting at least a draw at home to a poor Bradford side who've been on the beach for a few months it seems.

Never thought anyone would actively want us to get promoted just so they can come to Glanford Park.

Not getting carried away but it’s going to take something incredible from either ourselves or Plymouth for us to not be in this now.

I’ve been supporting us long enough to know that we’re certainly capable.

What a fucking win. Great performance and we should have won by more. Bring on the play-offs.

As expected really, the side that finished that game must have contained half of our peninsula league side. What an incredible season for us though. All those suspensions, all those injuries, all 7 of those keepers! How Derek Adams masterminded such a turnaround in what has been the worst season certainly that I can remember for player unavailability and the like is a testament to what a superb manager he is.

Lucky if he's still here next season - rumour is he is off to Ipswich?

Congrats to Charlton and Scunny - deserved over the course of the whole season.

I'll be backing Charlton to win the playoffs - looked the best side of the 4 when we played them.

Really hope Shrewsbury win it for obvious reasons - other than that I'd like Charlton to go up. The fewer big teams we have the better.

No complaints, we simply ran out of steam (and players). When you have to play Songo’o in a roughly forward facing midfield role you know you are scrapping the barrel.

It may seem strange but I am not at all disappointed that we are out of the play-offs. Seventh is way higher than I ever expected.

Just based on their consistent performance over the season would love Salop to go up.

I should be annoyed that people feel that Charlton will win the play-offs but that Shrewsbury ought to. Trouble is, I agree. Charlton are the strongest team imo. I think we are just a bit too fragile at the back to pull it off.

I would feel confident, but the loss of our captain Ogogo in midfield who has provided the steel all season is massive and for that reason we will concede at Charlton.

I always enjoy these scenarios that appear every few seasons. I always get so much hope that it might just happen only for every time the scores to end, Charlton 7-0 Rochdale & Plymouth 0-14 Gillingham

You may be facing us and if you do, let's have more of that "too fragile" at the back stuff please.

Seventh was a tremendous effort, especially from where you were earlier in the season. Can't say I'm a fan of Adams, but it's impossible to deny he's done a tremendous job with all the squad disruption.

It seems as though Ryan Taylor has the same effect for you as Zaha for Palace. Always liked him at Fratton but it seems he was tarnished in the eyes of many fans just for being surrounded by poor team mates. He was one of the few players I was sorry to see go as part of the purge when Paul Cook took over. I reckon we may have been promoted a season earlier if he'd been kept on.

I get why you are not a fan of Adams, but suspect you might be if he was your boss. I think he is very good at addressing all the small things that add up. His wind-ups tend to be with the clubs managed by fiery characters, you do not see his outbursts when we play the nice guys. He seems to live, sleep and breath footie, so I suspect it is a tactical ploy rather than an inherent character flaw.

I think it's wide open. Shrews have the most points and are structured and organised but lack flair and ideas going forward.

On our day, Rotherham are unplayable (particularly at the NYS) and it's not uncommon for us to score three or more when on song. We are a bit lacking up top, and unsure in defence, sonif our flair midfielders don't hit form, we can look a poor side, like at Charlton last month.

Scunny again look good on their day but are capable of looking extremely ordinary. Charlton remind me of us. They have a lot of flair players (but faster than ours), but have a lot of inconsistency.

Shrews and Millers have the points, Scunny and Charlton have the form and momentum.

It really is wide open.

What do you make of Oscar Threlkeld?

Capable of being a decent squad player in the Championship?

Well, the rumour floating around as i suspect you are aware is that he may be off to you. Some people question whether he could make the step up, personally I think he could. Very competent in defence and can be good on the overlap. We'll miss him. And yes to your question, especially as he is 23/4.
