The problem for Pools is that people will come calling for the better players if you don't go up. Rhys Oates being one of them. Similar to Jack Earing at Halifax, he'll get linked with EFL moves if you stay down here. Thank goodness we don't have that yearly worry as much now.
Earing is off I think. I think most Halifax fans have come to terms with it. He can go to a league 2 team or a title challenger in this league for next season.

I'd be really disappointed if he went to another team in this league personally. Good retention/recruitment and better luck with injuries, we could be a surprise package next season. Seems like everyone views us as the plucky underdogs, midtable fodder type of side.

Our biggest problem with doing that next year is the gaffer. Done a brilliant job but he's created an underdog mentality with some of his comments about budgets etc. This has transferred onto the pitch with us being scared against some of the better sides (especially at home)

On Jack Earing, have a look at him celebrating Halifax's very late equaliser against Notts County back in November here (skip to 1:12). Wait for it, wait for it. He's the number 10 who joins the party late and tries the old skid on the knees and, well, hilarity ensures.

Ben Turner what a fantastic bit of defense. Its not like Jamie Allen is fast or anything Haha. I'd of expected better reading of the game from such an experienced head

Not really bothered about the end score line, just glad/relieved we got the win.

Stockport will be a totally different beast than Bromley, another team that likes to play soccer, so hopefully a good game.

And a BROTHER is going up this year, hearty backslaps to all involved!

4 Brothers in the playoffs remaining, the National League’s worst nightmare. Their usual instructions to ramp up the reffing out to ensure a tinpotter appears in the showcase event are in tatters.

do you want to know why? its because you are all so upbeat. Its not becoming if you are a fan of one of the ex-league teams. You have to be miserable and resigned to failure until you eventually get promoted.
That puts us in an awkward situation as we are an ex-league team but have also had a recent promotion - we've probably always been a bit bipolar but things have definitely got worse recently.

You mustn’t have watched last year’s playoff final then.

Piss poor of Torquay to not grant a press pass to Nottingham Post report Leigh Curtis.
We haven't give any press passes all season. Think it's down to the very strict Covid protocols enforced by our local SAG rather than the club.

When we played away at your place a few weeks ago, you wouldn’t even let Burchnall do his post-match radio interview on the ground. Poor bloke was on the phone in the middle of the street outside.

It’s maybe understandable when the games were behind closed doors, albeit barely. Not sure there’s any excuse when there’s 1,000 fans there.

Again though that's been the case for every club this season. Even the hacks from our local rag have to watch the stream. Not our decision I'm afraid ,it's the nutters on the local SAG (who still insist that all fans have to wear a mask at all times!).

I suppose Torquay has a very old population compared to the rest of the country. Lots of vulnerable olds.

Will they let BT in?
Surely they will come with upwards of 30 staff, but one reporter?

Just ban any Torquay press representative from Meadow Lane from now on. Simple.

With only 2 other clubs to compete with, 25 and 35 miles away, and not exactly fan magnets themselves, you'd expect them to pull in much more than they do. Just saying. :dk:

I agree ~~ SAG are a bunch of party poopers.
