Difficult to say whether it was typical tranmere not turning up to a big game or the injuries finally catching up with us. We seemed to struggle at the back and the midfield was pretty non existent for most of the game. In terms of attacking FGR took their chances and we didn't.

Some absolute bellends in our end though, the team didn't turn up but screaming that every player is shite and calling Mellon a shocking manager from the first minute isn't going to do us any favours, let alone being complete nonsense. Hopefully the particular person sticks with his comments at the end and never comes another Rovers match.

Congratulations to FGR. Today is a triumph for unregulated spending in football, but I am pleased for their fans and it was an excellent performance in the day. Also there have been smaller teams than FGR in the league before.

Gutted for Tranmere. Made me smile a bit though as pretty much all bar Daggers/FGR fans thought the winner was coming from the other semi.

All 4 teams in the Play Offs this year were decent I thought. We put in the weakest performances overall but 83 points doesn't lie and we've had a good season, just lacked the lack on the injury front at certain times. Aldershot will be very good next year as will Tranmere. I'd put us 3 as league favourites for next year.

McNulty may have been voted into the team of the year by other managers, but he's had a shocker 3 times against FGR. Not sure we should keep him. Especially as high chance we can get Clint Hill from Rangers.

Not sure who else we can realistically sign to improve our squad. Roarie Deacon or Bernard Mensah maybe.

Bill Williams at Maidstone, a man who has seen it all, reckons most clubs get a good promotion run about every five years. Last year ours came four years early and had to be grasped, ready or not. Hope Tranmere haven't missed their only chance for a long time.

As for next season, I reckon Tranmere may find it hard again to get top spot, what with Fylde and Ebbsfleet signalling yet more bank rolled clubs getting nearer to the chosen 92, it won't be easy, being the biggest club in the division adds a lot of pressure.
