We started really badly, gave away a shit goal (I’m not going to hold it against Stockdale, he’s generally been excellent)…and never really got back in it.

SAFC neutralised Vokes and McCleary pretty well, we made some subs which changed the game briefly in our favour but the ball just didn’t fall sweetly for us.

No complaints about the result, the better team won.

That’s 4 points a season less for us then.
Glad to see them back up though, huge club that have paid their debt to division 3. I’m sure they will consolidate next season before a tilt at the top table.

Well that was fantastic. After so many playoff tears, winning them was the best feeling ever. Cried at one point, 40 in feb and i’m not even arsed that i cried. Shame we only went down in the car and straight home after a quick pint cos it looked fab down London but pleased i’m in my own bed this morning. I will say farewell to this forum however i must admit being in league one has been a rollercoaster (albeit awful) but it’s where we ended up deservedly after poor management and ownership. Some genuine fans get on here and the odd prat but that’s life. I’ll still get on this forum i reckon cos there is some top posters. I want to wish you all a good season next year and i am going to predict that Ipswich, Oxford and Wednesday go up next season. Just have a feeling that those 3 will do it. Thank you for having me.

Looking forward to a trip to Wycombe, went there quite a few years ago...possibly before they rebuilt the main stand...so definitely overdue another visit and it is one of those grounds that is pretty easy to get to. Have to admit that I'm a bid sad we will miss out on Sunderland as I had hoped to turn the game into a short break in the North East...that can wait...but reckon that Nailsworth has dodged the bullet of so many away fans turning up for their game against us that it doubles the population for the day, despite our away end only holding 1200!

Big question now, will it be Port Vale or Mansfield...the former bossed us at our place, when we were on really good form, but after a dodgy start to the season Mansfield have been pretty decent...hard one to call!

The 3 promoted sides are worthy winners of going up.

Could be something we need to look at adapting, 3 sides who used old school tactics, set pieces and being more direct as opposed to tika taka.

Cos it’d be a bitch by public transport. The one time I went from London to The New Lawn via train, it was a right pain in the arse.

I reckon you dodged a bullet when Keano turned you down earlier in the year and Neil seemed like a much shrewder appointment, as it has turned out. Good luck in the Championship.

I did go and drove by car, it was quite a few years ago but from memory I parked not too far from the ground...can't comment on the public transport option.

Yeah it was a rivalry, especially the first season when you should have went up but for a mid season wobble. Best result for us this season was the 6-0 defeat at Bolton, got rid of LJ and even though us fans wanted Keano it was definitely the right thing getting Neil in. The mans been brilliant. Underrated manager imo.
