Depressingly we're out of the playoffs as things stand. Fail to win tonight, and we're in big big trouble.

Don't think I've ever seen a more exciting promotion battle than this. Nobody can call it. Can make an argument for every team in the top 8 who deserve to go up.

We're playing turd. Middlesborough's turn at the top as things stand. I wouldn't fancy us against anyone currently in the play-offs in truth.

Long way to go, we'll all balls up again at some point

After all that were still 8th... We could win every game from now to the end of the season, finish with 86 points and still be in 8th by the end of it :sna:

Actually no. If you win all your games you will have 3 more points than us and will therefore be above us :bg:

Looks like top 4 will be chasing the autos and the next 4 chasing the last 2 play off spots. With Derby still to play Brentford and we still have to play Wolves, I think it will one from Derby/brentford and one from ipswich/wolves.

Top 2 realistically probably only need one more win each to be sure of play offs

Such a realistic opportunity for us to take 9 points from the next three games. Need to make them count as the final three against Wolves,Forest & Blackburn are niot gimmies by any stretch.

Top 8 seems to be splitting into two groups of 4. Not an unbridgeable gap but at this stage of the season and with the form of the top 4 you have to think that the winner is coming from them.

The Brighton game yesterday has filled me with a fair bit of confidence. We were shit but we ground out the result which is a good sign at this stage of the season. Easier games than everyone bar Bournemouth on paper but we have struggled at times against the lower sides, we also have to travel to Leeds who have a great record against the top sides and we have to play Fulham on the last game on the season which we just won't win. I still think we're going to fall just short but confidence is growing every week.

Could potentially come down to goal difference too, in that case Derby essentially have an extra point on Brentford, Ipswich and ourselves. Bournemouth have the same advantage over Watford, Middlesbrough and Norwich.

We'd have to win games, and stop conceding stupid goals for our goal difference to mean anything.

Decent chance for Bournemouth to make their position in the top two safer tomorrow with Middlesbrough playing Watford and us losing/drawing to Wednesday. Tough game for Brentford also, so a chance of Ipswich or Wolves breaking back into the top six. Surely Derby have to start winning again soon too?

You can't honestly think we won't comfortably beat Sheff Wed

Don't think we've ever beaten them in my Norwich-supporting time. While it hasn't gone on as long as our run vs Fulham our last ten against Wednesday read DLLLLLLLLD. In recent years, I've allowed myself to believe we're going to finally beat them and we never do so I've given up.

At least one of Wednesday/Fulham hoodoos will be broken this season. Perfect time to play both :cool1:

I just can't see us beating Fulham ever. We'll be saying that the run has to end soon in 40 years time.

We're lucky that Derby and Brentford are drawing currently, doesn't sound like we're going to get anything today.

Norwich top of the league, are you still not getting promoted Munkiki ?

All going well for us so far, just missing a goal on our part. Had the chances but Darlows kept them in it.

3 points and Ipswich and Bournemouth losing would definitely make things interesting.

If we win and other results stay the same we can go to the dizzy heights of 5th!

Cue a 3-0 defeat to bring us back to reality.

Don't know how we've lost this. Hit on the counter twice, their keeper has made a number of great saves. Can't believe we're throwing away points at home yet again.

Haha, don't care that I spoke too soon. Get in!!!!!
Still disappointed we didn't win, as we did more than enough to, shouldn't be putting ourselves in the position where we need these late goals.

Derby v Brentford is a massive game next week.
